Since it's not exactly news and not really general, I'm unsure if I'm posting this in the right section, so please feel free to move it if I've erred. :)
I suspect there have to be a few anime fans here. I was wondering if anyone knew any good anime that fits into the BDSM areas? I mean, I know there are plenty of hentai, but I'm talking more about covering some of the relationship factors.
I've just recently discovered an adorable little series called Dears. I really like how it relates to alternative lifestyles, albiet in a weirdly humorous and definitely anime-inspired way.
There are probably better desciptions out there, but n brief, it's about -- stay with me here, heh -- a race of (mostly) female aliens that come to Earth with the sole intention of serving mankind. It's really adorable. They all wear collars and everything. ^^ It follows the story of one girl who sort of randomly appears.. and latches onto a normal human boy whom she starts calling and treating as Master, but neither of them know anything about it. Then steps in the "educated" slave who is in huge disbelief that any slave could be so uninformed about the protocals, expectations and everything. There's romance, drama and a lot of playful sexual energy... such as the teacher "Domme" who often disrobes in front of her class and tries to get the students to read erotic novels aloud! The presented stereotypes are quite amusing takes on the usual.
Moving on, so far it seems to be about the male lead learning and accepting what it is to be a Master, while the female lead learns the proper duties of serving. I'm only midway into the second disc of the series, though... I'm already hooked.
Has anyone else seen it, or is perhaps interested? :3
