Happy birthday! Mine was last Saturday, I pampered myself, slept late and just relaxed. My best friend called as did my adult son. A quiet day and I enjoyed it.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! Wow, Mistress's was on the 7th, my friend's was on the 8th and I have another friend with one on the 14th. Birthdays galore. Mistress loves celebrating my birthday. In my view, birthdays should be the one day a sub shouldn't have to do a thing. The day for THEM to get pampered. Of course this is obviously IMO but eh, to each his own.

I have had a tradition for as long as I can remember, that my birthday is the one day per year I have honored myself, and will spend the day doing something entirely for me. One year I just went to the beach with a caraf of coffee and a book, and spent the day relaxing. One year I did a total spa treatment. This past year my Master was joking about doing something totally vile and corrupt to me in honor of my birthday, and then he remembered this "tradition" of mine. He changed his mind and sent me off to do something special for myself instead. I was amazed by this, and offered to go to him for his enjoyment instead. But he insisted I have a day to honor myself instead. It warmed my heart!

I am allowed to celebrate my birthday it is the one day I don't have to ask for permission to do anything and the one day I can do whatever I want! Happy Birthday!!

thanks for the birthday wishes, all! i made my first carrot cake ever, and needless to say, its all gone!! woo firefly, i do not know exactly why a bday would be forbade but i assume it is to keep the slave in a service state of mind, humbled by not being able to celebrate the day of birth. i dont know, really.

my Master "celebrates" my birthday, in his own way, however if by celebrate you mean partying or socializing with "my" friends/acquaintances, or going out and doing something without him, or taking it upon myself to plan anything special, then no, that is not permitted. the rules of the house don't change just because it's my birthday. however he always acknowledges birthdays in some way, always writing me a special heartfelt letter, giving me a bit more extra attention that day, doing a couple of my chores for me, etc. occasionally he's even taken me out on my birthday. it doesn't really matter to me since birthdays are just a reminder of the fact that i'm getting older (blech), but it's nice that he cares.

in April it will be my first time celebrating my birthday Daddy and He's hinting to special gifts for me. of course like a child, i want to know what they are however i'll make sure His birthday in August will be extra special this year.
