I love long socks and stockings. Thigh-highs and knee-highs are my favorites. sheer thin barely there ones in the summer, and thick ones that are soft and clingy in the winter. I really like unusual ones with sexy earth tones. stripes, checks, irregular patterns, gradiating colours, networked knotting, etc. European stockings are by far better-made than American ones, and I don't need garters with the low thigh-highs from Italy, but I love to wear them with the high-reaching ones that I have.

sometimes i get teased that my skirts are incidental to my socks...

i once bought shoes for these spectacular thigh-high nylons that i got when abroad


i love the encasement on my legs, the surface tingling, and the freedom of release when they are off. possibly even moreso than i love the look.

it's been stupidly hot this summer, though, and i have been woefully bare
(which i partially dislike for the risk of tanning my skin)

Well when I had a MADAM, she had me wear Thigh Highs with Garter Belts, Pantyhose and Tights. Since I am without MADAM anymore, I usually war what I like, which is usually Tights and sometime Black Thigh Highs, Mesh Garter Belt with Matching Thongs, and Frily Lace Ankle Socks over them. It looks so CUTE and Naughty Girlish. And also in my Phot, you can see how great Tights are....they hide the leg hairs, which the wife would NEVER let me shave off.

There have been several sub males that are made to wear hosiery. Interesting. Not sexy for me, but interesting.

Of course, with respect, I think hosiery is for women ;-)

Why do you think hosiery is for women? Do you feel trousers are just for men? Or skirts are just for women? That Men cannot be hairless?

I mean overall, I prefer them on women.

Why can makeup and high heels not be for men? Superman, you are claiming to wish to write a screenplay, but if you don't even understand the basic concepts of the difference between a fetish and a fashion, then how can you believe you could write a script of any merit?

Many men wear makeup - I am sure that you even use beauty products yourself which, a decade or more ago would have seemed ridiculous to the more 'macho' man, do you not? Just because a man may wear hosiery, doesn't make him a CD - anymore than a collar makes a person a submissive. You are placing your personal preference onto something to make reality centred around you and that just isn't going to happen in the real world.

Women wear boxers now - men high heel boots and shoes. Even sarongs and skirts a male items of dress now. Just because it isn't your preference, doesn't mean it is 'just for women' or 'just for men'.

You have quoted that you respect the issue, but yet, you generalise - that isn't showing respect, no matter how much you throw the word about. All he questions you have asked, yet you are showing that you haven't actually taken in anything people have said, which is a pity.

This is not meant as a flame, but something constructive that you should be able to work from.

Well, yes. Historically men have worn both makeup and high heels before -- just look at the 1600-1800's. And don't tell me that doesn't count. You'd only think that because that's what you're used to seeing. How about kilts? Those are definitely skirts but you're probably ok seeing guys wear those.

And I've seen some guys who are big enough actually resort to bras. I've seen women who are small enough go without. There are corsets both currently and historically for men, designed to taper their shape.

I've seen tent-like drawers for women and tiny little g-strings for men, so we can't define "panties" by size. I've also seen silk and satin underwear for men, so we can't go on fabric. All that leaves us with is the way in which the cloth is cut, (which by some definitions would leave out a large majority of women's underwear) -- overall it seems a pretty silly thing to worry about.

Most people are ok with historic representations of men in makeup (or even the TV newscasters who wear it, men on stage, in film, etc), historic representations of men in tights (Robin hood, Renaissance and Medieval men, King Henry the VIII) or current-day male ballet dancers. They're ok with men in skirts or dresses are ok as long as it's ethnic (the African in the long dress-like thing, or the Irish/Scottsman in the kilt). They're ok with men in teeny tiny underwear or silk or satin underwear. So if they're ok with all of that, why suddenly the opinion that in other situations, these things are not ok?

Because someone, somewhere said "this is a skirt for a MAN". The item of clothing is still a skirt (stockings, what-have-you...) but someone said it's a Man's, so that makes everything ok.

I think you're reacting not to what they're wearing (it's only cloth after all) but that the idea of a man wanting to look like a woman throws you for a loop and you don't like it. Makes you feel uncomfortable. Am I right?

What, no Heels, Bras or Panties? I guess I better give them to a female friend then. Well it is like this, I too love to see them on women, but since a lot of the women these days wer T Shirts, Boxer Shorts and Heavy Wook Boots of sneakers, I wear the Thongs, Bras (Body Shaping too), and heels...though the only heels I have a 4" clunky Mudd Mary Janes. Wel since we are on the subject, I have a collection of Mary Janes (12 I think) that I also love to see women wear, but since I don't see much of that either, I wil keep wearing them. That seems to be the only way I get to see them in public.

I am not required to wear anything in particular here at home, or when we go out. Practicality rules our roost - my gardening in silk stockings would just be too silly!

Well to speak frankly, when I was made to dress up like a girl (at age 18) it was a learning experience. Which is why I will never to this da,y ask a woman to wear high heels if we are going out. Been in them all day before, and I really respect any woman that chooses to wear them in their day to day life.

Also, my scuba instructor told us to wear pantyhose under our wetsuit because it would A) keep our legs warm in the cold water and B) allow the wetsuit to go on easier.

Other uses of pantyhose: 1. wearing them in the woods keeps the ticks out of your skin, they also prevent chafing and blisters. 2. Horseriders wear them to prevent chafing while in the saddle. 3. People wear costumes for halloween. Men do this, women do this.

And to be even more frank about it, real men don't care because if it works why not do it. I don't care because I am firmly confident in my masculinity, been so ever since that experience at 18. so before you knock it, you should try it. One more thing, hose may look nice, but wearing them in summer is hell because they are hot and hold in heat.

Luckily, I haven't had anyone say I had to wear stockings, panyhose or whatever. I hate them. I do wear them when the occasion determines that. I have pantyhose, stockings, thi-hi's..They get hot and uncomfortable..So, I prefer bare legs..The one thing I have always disliked is that if the thi-hi's are a bit too tight, it looks like your thighs are bubbling over the top.

But, if I was told to, of course I would but I wouldn't like it! Many women I know wear pantyhose..but there are some who like the thi-hi's and stockings..

WOW.....What sites they are. Don't forget "Foot Traffic" too...they have a nice selection, and many,many color Tights, Thigh Highs and Kne High Socks too. I sure wish I was your Sub/Slave...and kept in Tights all say and night. Your a Mistress after my own heart...or is it legs? I wear vintage seamed stockings all the time. Wearing a corset for over 20 hours a day..I think panyhose?tights would not look right...lol.

it's usually been understood that i wear thigh high stockings and heels when i'm with a dominant. i don't even question it when meeting someone new usually, as most do prefer this. i'll ask, but it has seemed to be the rule. i don't mind wearing them, although walking great distances in uneven terrain can be difficult in very high heels. as most of my shoes are heels, it's not an issue for me. i don't wear pantyhose, but if i'm not with a dominant, in the winter i do wear tights when it's cold.
