Status: offline 		So last night I had a wonderful time with a great guy who I've become friends with lately. I drive away from him this morning and suddenly go into an massive emotional sub-drop type feeling...I'm sick at my stomach, I'm depressed, I feel horrible...partially because I really like this person and have discovered that he wants to be "friends" and "see me again" but isn't looking for an emotional commitment where as I feel this is someone I could fall for in a heartbeat.  Everytime I'm around him, I feel the urge to fall at his feet and the call is stronger than any I've felt in a long time....(I hope he isn't reading this because he doesn't need to know that last part.)

So in light of how utterly terrible I feel, please, Cheer Up Geeky Girl :

Share anything you like...a joke, a funny story, whatever...I want to read something that will make me smile. Isn't that what friends are for?

Does he truly? Or is he lying because he is shy or afraid that you will reject him?
Perhaps he thinks little of you because you are easy?
 
Either confront him and tear down his lies, or play hard to get and see what he is willing to do, whether he will travel though hell and high water to be with you.

Status: offline 		i saw Scissor Sisters last night and even though the lead singer is gay ( i think), he's so sexy especially wearing those skin tight pants suits. then after their show, i went another show to review this independent band, reModern. the lead singer was a very sexy in his tight jeans and leather jacket. i had fun hanging out with them until gettting home around 2a. working now on a review from Thursday night - saw an underground R&B/Soul group called Just Infinite. my next adventure won't happen until the 20th when i'll be part of a cable access show taping.

Oh I think he truly wants to be my friend and even more...but he's just gotten out of a bad relationship and I think he's not over her 100%. As for being easy, I never said I "did" anything with him, now did I ? I just said I spent the evening with him.  And I do play hard to get (I never call first, never message first, and he makes a point to contact me EVERY day.)

I do believe that he's very shy and a little old fashioned and very nervous about "jumping into things".

And I did confront him and had a long talk about it. Basically, he feels he's having emotional problems at the moment and feels he can't really open to up to someone yet. When he's around me he acts crazy about me, when he's not around me, he contacts me all the time...all the typical signs of "liking" a girl. But then it's like he goes all shy on me and starts talking about how we're "just friends" and he doesn't want to "date" right now. (He wants to go to the movies and eat dinner and hang out and kiss but it isn't a "date").

Nothings higher than that bond we seek... and few things lower than when its rejected...

Take heart, work on something just for yourself today.
Try some pigtails. ( if you do please post a pic I have a visual.. lol )
And as it was stated in another post be a little less availible.. good things seldom come without effort.

As for cheering you up...
Three women at the doctors office. The first one goes in to see the doctor. When the doctor goes to examine her he notices a big "Y" on her chest.
 The doctor asks, "Why do you have a big "Y" on your chest?"
 She replies, "Well, my boyfriend went to Yale and when we make love he likes to wear his college sweater."
 The doctor nods and continues on with the next patient. When he examines her he notices a big "H" on her chest.
 Agian, the doctor asks, "How did you get a big "H" on your chest?" The woman replys "My husband went to Harvard and when we make love he likes to wear his college sweater."
 The doctors just nods his head and continues on with the last patient. As he examines her he notices once again that this woman also has a letter on her chest. A large "M".
 He says, "Dont tell me, your boyfriend went to Michigan?"
 "No ... " replies the patient. "But my girlfriend went to Wisconsin"

I had a guy like that in my life.  I could fall at his feet, even today.  Overwhelming chemistry, and attraction the likes of which I've never felt since, and this was many years ago.  We were at different places in our lives and it wasn't meant to be.  But I still look at that as the potential relationship that wasn't.

Status: offline 		         I have learned to take things for what they are now and not to let my heart get in the way..Today, I got my freak on...yeah, he's fine as hell and a wonderful personality but I locked my heart away in a box so I can't get hurt (or atleast not as easily)...I agree with Katy--- go to a cafe, get some coffee and read a book, it works for me...Anyways, I hope you feel better soon (hugs)..and a SLURP from Troll always helps

Ya'll know how to make me feel better! I really do think this guy is into me but just very scared of the words "relationship" and "dating". I even said to him last night, "So you want to see me, go out with me, talk to me, hang out with, etc but you don't want to CALL it dating cause it causes your brain to go screwy?" and he pretty much seemed to agree with that.

Honestly, I'm feeling a little better. I just had a really bad emotional drop this morning and almost threw up :(

Now I'm better..I'm hanging out with my two best friends, avoiding being alone, and trying to cheer up.
