It would be nice to purchase ancient abandon prisons. This could turned in real torture establishments. It could compete with the OWK. Slaves would be kept in cells, as they are in real prisons. The guards could be retired  women that have already worked in this kind of work. Revenues would be raised by the filming of sadistic torture scenes. Of course once in the prison, slaves would have no chance of escaping. They would be welcome to try, this would only excite the staff for the hunt to come. If you have any ideas about this wild fantasy, please feel free to post.

Yes a  excellent notion. Remeber  most are on some type of local , state or federal land. Also anything before 1898, have been listed as Historical sites. Shame to because the decay and ruin they are in, no one has kept them up. A capial idea.

If people could escape from the real prison they'd be able to escape from this. It sounds expensive and something I'd be completely unwilling to pay for, especially if you would be filming it all. That is going to lose you a lot of customers. Many of the people who would pay for such a thing don't want it recorded on film. If the filming isn't a requirement it might work.

Sounds to me like it would be a good way to get yourself in prison, but it's a nice fantasy.

Off topic....but this thread brought back wonderful memories of my first job.  i was a tour guide at an "old prison".   During part of the tour, we would take vistors to the various cell blocks.  In the maximum security block, we would take them into the cells and then slam the doors shut behind them.  You should have seen the look on their faces.  ~sigh~ memories.

I find it more interesting you want to compete with OWK since you felt that the OWK was doing in their videos was NOT SSC.

Hahaha goodpet!

Odly enough, there was a really awsome (vanilla) club which was in one of the oldest (no longer in use) prisions in Florence, when I was living there.  It was kind of wierd listening to live bands in the courtyard where they had their excercise... and the ambiance was neet, they had torches and stuff all over the place.... however, to use is as a giant torture facility.. I think that would be beyond inadvisable, for a number of reasons.

First the good news,
Here's a webpage showing you around abandoned asylums etc
http://www.sub-urban.com/
prod their links section and you'll find more abandoned building porn, and the boastfully secretive fans who find and photograph them.

Next the bad news
They cost real money to buy, as every developer wants to buy, do up/demolish, and sell on to the mainstream
They will cost real money to fix up, abandoned means bad things happens, first to the roof and windows, then the walls and basements and finally the foundations. A lot have been abandoned because they are not just economic, but because asbestos removal and repairs are insane. read the risks section of the forums and people wear gumboots, gasmasks, gloves and googles around old buildings for a reason.
In short they are not safe places.

You cannot have a "lose yourself in the moment" scene in one. If the security is weak enough to get in, it is weak enough for others to get in.

I've done a bit of abandoned adventuring for my photography, and the atmosphere's are typically amazing, but the safety and alertness would kill any attempt for mindless subspace.
Any model I'd take in would have to have their shit together and be able to gets themselves out if I took a 50metre step backwards and down through a floorboard.

About the only way I'd recommend would be to "borrow" a site safely for a night, is to find a well maintained, well guarded one and ask$ the guards or owner for permission. If the sites a money hole, safe and you'll not leave a mess, permisison shouldn't be that hard to come by.

Dunno, but some people seem to be into it
http://www.mirukim.com/nakedcityspleen/

However answering your question in detail
It wouldn't be a stranger, I need to know I can trust them.
It wouldn't be a scene, more a faux pose up.
I wouldn't take a slave, or even switch, it be would a Domme who's feeling exhibitonistic. Nothing against the other two, but it's similar to mountain climbing, where you are responsible for your own actions, be willing to take part in conversations like a peer and continue to function on your own if things go to crap. Team work is good, but "groupthink" (going along with someone else even though you have reservations) is a well documented, significant human factor in team event fatalities.

Abandoned places don't automatically mean death. It just means if you get into trouble, help takes longer to contact and then to arrive. If you treat it with respect, and pay attention like you life depends on it, and have the moral courage not to push it too far, you'll be safer, than the every day path you barely glance at.
Waltzing around overconfidently is a quick way to discover any problems.

The search and rescue crowd recomend S.T.O.P (Stay, Think, Observe, Plan)

Everyone dies, and you'll find that every day your path will cross the route some dead person took on their last day. Don't concentrate on deathes at the expense of the causes. Dead's dead, but the causes can still be lying in wait.

Hey, I had kind hearted grandparents.
I've taken oart in the decommision of a hospital while moving its contents to a new place.
The whole South Pacific and about half of the NZ population has a layer of Christianity slapped on top of ancestor worship.
I have a keen interest in history. which typically shows a lot of bad things occurred for what were good, well intentioned reasons at the time.

It ain't the dead I watch out for, it's the living.

Thanks, the best way I can describe it is like archeology, the way you can walk in to the center of what was bustling organisation and from the clues glean what it must have been like then. Besides, people spent all this time building great sets, it would be a shame ot let them waste away forgotten.

Rafters!

I know that abandon prison could be falling apart and that the person who buys them will have to invest money for repairs, but the beauty of it is that the cost of labour will be zero. The slaves will do all the work. Only the materials will have to be purchased. But revenues could be accumulated by producing torture videos. Include this in a website and you have the money for the materials. A couple of years later, who knows, investors could be buying shares in this project.

I dunno, it's one thing to exploit people for trivial labour, but once their efforts contribute a major part of a commercial enterprise, I'd be surprised if pesky do gooders from the Govt don't come round waving search warrant's mentioning anti sweat shop laws and worse.

Plus when (not if) someone gets injured, who covers workmans comp?

Plus you open yourself up to a lawsuit, if they haven't signed their rights away.

And cutting corners of work skills is a disaster waiting to happen

Fictional movie about the kind of work involved

In short, unless you have a pet lawyer on a leash (hmm nice mental image that) and really skilled staff, I think you're better off getting skilled, well organised professionals in for the big stuff, who will guarentee their work for ten years and make that sound believable.

I don't really know anything about the owk but is it really something to think highly of? It really doesn't rank very high in my opinion.
