ORIGINAL: puella You know what I love, juliaoceania, that you can not put of a legitimate post concerning hypocrisy in the Republican party without someone of that party trying to make everything in the universe about evil evil Bill Clinton. I personally am not the biggest Clinton fan, but good lord, call a spade a spade. Gingrich is a hypocrite. Period. What amused me is that no one even commented on what Clinton did on this thread, or that was somehow ok, somehow it is assumed that because one does not like Gingrich that they think it is ok to do what Clinton did. That is a big assumption. In my opinion if one is going to assume some sort of moral high ground they better have a squeaky clean past, and Gingrich didn't. I would think that if a person purports to have more honor and dignity than other people, well if he is shown to lack it he should be held accountable for that. I would think that those who are apologists for Gingrich on this thread should think about that. Your side has purported to be morally superior than the other side, and when shown this is not the case you just point fingers. As someone that thinks clinton sucks (and I do), I would ask those of you who think what Newt did as being somehow morally superior to Clinton to tell me how this is so? I would suggest that you clean up your own backyard before attacking others. I would also suggest that you not support morally decrepit people, and apologize for them, two wrongs do not make a right... and this is precisely why I do not support 99% of politicians, I just feel dirty later on if I feel the need to defend the indefensible. Oh, and Bill Clinton is not running for president, Gingrich is[:D]
