Well, if she's fucking her players, she has to go.  I had heard originally that the relationship was with a FORMER player, which would have been very different.

I think if she resigned because of being a lasbian then this story would be relevant as we should not limit our defense of sexual freedom to only people in leather or chains...

But that doesn't seem to be the case. Rather it seems to be a case of a coach having sex with team members and orientation doesn't really mater so to me this is OT.

I wasn't trying to comment on whether or not it belonged here, I was just wondering like the dirty old man I am if there was some kinkier subtext that I was missing. If she was having sex with a person while they were an active member of the team, that would be wrong IMO. If not, big deal.

If you're asking whether I think it's OK for coaches to fuck their players, the answer is no.

I had somehow gleaned that this might be the case from your earlier post, and frankly in my imagination of you, which is quite obviously wrong, is at odds with that notion.  Could I ask you to comment further?

Because it's unfair to the other players, for one thing.  Also, I don't think there's any way to avoid the fact that it interferes with the player's performance on the court.

As I said, if the girl were a FORMER player, that would be completely different.  I'm not outraged or anything over the fact that the coach fucked another woman.  It's the fact that she fucked some girl who was in her care in order to be trained to be a better basketball player.

Ok people. I spent a few years in LA, and attened lots of games at LSU. I heard this when it was breaking news. No one knows what really happened, but just today, another assistant coach confessed that she was the one who reported that Pokey had a relationship with a previous player, while the player was on the team.. This happend at least a year ago, and it's just now reported? what was this assistant coach po'd about? regardless, the only thing Pokey did wrong was not wait until the player was off the team. You don't mess with a student. Although, she was 22 years old at the time. (the student) Pokey has been with LSU from 1991 till now. It is really a shame, imo
Not understanding why this is posted on collarme, tho, but oh well.
