January 20, i fell & broke a bone in my foot...i was told it was one of those that was so easy to heal that they didn't even normally cast them & i would be fine in 2-3 weeks...it is now 10 days shy of 2 months & 2 weeks ago i was grounded:  no walking, no driving, no fun...i don't have tv, so i just hang out here...so, i have always said that i would rather be dead than bored & i got to wondering:  is it possible that boredom could actually kill me?  & in the interests of keeping me alive, i was hoping that all of you would be kind enough to entertain me so that i never find out if it is possible......

Ohhhhh if its any consolation, I know ”exactly ” how you feel!  I broke my ankle 6:th of February and I have been living with plaster and crutches ever since.  There is really not much one can do without the hands (need them for crutches) and one leg.

My worst moment was one day when my neighbour decided to start the renovating. Hellish banging and drilling that seemed to never end..

At the same time my remote control was missing. and the television is put so high on the wall that I couldn’t switch it manually off so I “ enjoyed “ the information of the shopping channel.

Hours and hours of females with chopstick bodies, telling me how the fat is “ disgusting “ and how “their “ gadget is absolutely the right one for me, to get the body of my dreams just for hours.AAARRGGHHHHHHH !!!

One solution that I have found very helpful, was to rent the wheelchair because with it I can do all kind of things I have always put aside since I have been “ too busy “ like sorting out the photos, cleaning the drawers etc etc.

Sooo lets not give up, it will get better, I promise.

hours of the shopping network would be my idea of hell on earth...as for the suggestion about the wheelchair, i would want the motoroized one with a loud horn so that i could go zooming around my apartment  complex, running up on people & then sounding the klaxon   i think that would be very entertaining...hehehe
as for organizing my pictures, i think i'd rather poke my eyes out...any other suggestions???

Ohhhh, I am not sure as I am never bored. I never seem to run out of things to occupy myself with. How about books or some artistic endeavors?

i think i've actually been bored about 2 other times in my life...hence my difficulty with it now...i've cleaned most of my home--try doing that when you're not supposed to walk, now that was pretty amusing--i've got all my emails caught up, & sorting the pics from the China trip is actually starting to seem a good idea...i also have some documents to shred...hmmm...why the heck am i so bored??  look at all the fun stuff i have to do...

one of my major disappointments is the riding carts in the stores go way too slow & the horns aren't nearly loud enough...one day, however, i did find one that went pretty good plus had bad brakes, so i had numerous collisions, which entertained me quite a lot.....

edited to correct verb usage

Boredom is a horrible thing - I remember saying I was bored - it was then suggested to me that organising Masters many CD's in alphabetical order would take my mind from the boredom - funnily enough I wasnt really bored after all!

Seriously though - I hope things improve.

Why not do a search for whiny threads about twue subs or bitching about pro dommes or how people dont respond to email then you can at least get a few laughs

can one actually do a search for "whiney threads"??

i like your attitude, diamond--& you're named after my favorite precious gem...i have been reading all the weird & wonderful threads that look in the slightest bit amusing...i particularly enjoy the whiny ones & the ones that start out with the OP complaining about the site or how come they haven't met someone yet are my all-time faves...

the reason i posted this in Random Stupidity was that i ain't really serious about being bored--hmmmm, nor about much of anything else, come to think of it--& was hoping for some wit to entertain myself with between breakfast & lunch......

off to do the "whiney threads" search.......

ok, so apparently it didn't post my comment. The girl impersonating the kitty cat i dance song was lame, and I hope her cat clawed to hell who ever was waving it up and down.

Hmm let me think.
Theres the usual girlie stuff like attempted to wax my own pubic hair into a love heart, cut my own hair (on my head), dyed it many wondrous colours, plucked my eyebrows to nonexistance, bought things online i couldnt afford or didnt really want.

Then theres the time my boyf and i (i was only 15) decided that it would be a good idea to try and circumcise him with a pair of scissors. I really dont recommend this one!!

Boredom is a horrible thing.  TV isnt any better, so your really not missing a thing.
Incativity ~will~ kill you!  You've got to let it heal, but in the mean time the rest of you is gonna go to hell.
I'd suggest working upper body with free weights, if you can get your hands on a total gym that will help too.
Find a topic that interests you and study it.  Take a class online.  Crochet, quilt, paint, carve anything you
can find to do that will keep your mind busy!

:>)
