Araven -> My First Time in the Community (3/11/2007 1:42:15 PM)

I suppose maybe this should go in the positive experiances section, but I dont think i'de get all the proper thank-yous out to the all the wonderful Female Dominants whose advice and wisdom i've read in this forum. Normally I just lurk, with the occasional post from time to time. So I decided to be brave, suck it up, and get out the community. I had gotten an invitation to a local(well, somewhat Local to me) TNG group and finally decided to give it a go. I've read here various times its the best way to learn more about the lifestyle and meet new people. And everybody was absolutely right. I had a wonderful experiance, met great new people. Nobody was mean or nasty, everybody was very respectful and very outgoing to help me feel welcome. If anybody was on the edge like me, is very new and nervous, I'de really suggest trying to find some sort of local group to go experiance. Its an entirely different thing to see somebody in the flesh, as opposed to over a computer screen. It really helps to know there are other real people out there with these interests. I suppose the scary relization that I had after I was driving home, more than anything was: "I think I'de really like to do these things after seeing them." And I'm very eager to go to the next meeting in a month. But most of all, I just wanted to thank everybody here, in this little online community for helping me with kind advice, words, and wisdom for my first steps into a real-life community. [:)]
