Damn! I thought you were going to say "sexually harrassed by females!"
Some guys have all the fun!

Lashra -> RE: "More Men Report Sexual Harassment at Work" (3/12/2007 1:15:43 PM)

Anyone who suffers from sexual harassment should report it. I say good for these guys for standing up for their rights.

Somehow, I doubt that will ever be an issue where I work.

You know that's a great scam. I could go from state to state making a good living doing that.
Get placed on "medical leave" for oh,....."mental anguish" or something trumped up like that with full pay while the lawyer gets the "Go away" money!
How much do they usually settle for in those cases, $100k or so?

hisannabelle -> RE: "More Men Report Sexual Harassment at Work" (3/12/2007 3:23:30 PM)

i agree that it's good that those men are standing up for themselves. so many don't because sexual harrassment is supposed to be a female problem. while many women (including myself) face it daily, it does happen to men, too, and it's wrong that there's such a stigma attached to it.

We are fast approaching PC Utopia...poor benighted male heterosexuals being "squeezed" by predatary (sp?)  homosexuals and agressive women

Oh dear Oh dear Oh dear. Woe is me!

i agree with some of the other members who have posted; i believe that sexual harrassment should be actionable regardless of the gender and sexual orientation of the parties.  The EEOC investigates these claims and must find -- as it rarely does -- that a "good faith" basis for the claim exists before suit can be filed.  It's comparable to states in which a litigant must find a MD or panel of MD's willing to admit he suffered medical malpractice before he can sue.

To call this new-found courage on the part of victims a "PC Utopia" is tantamount to dismissing their anguish out of hand.  We have long recognised that the sexual harrassment of women by men is actionable at law -- i see no "PC" in allowing men to file claims as well.

Its the apparent fact that Women and male Homosexuals have got the confidence to harass any body that worries me !

With regard to sexual harassment of women by men we have just had a case in the UK where a man has been found guilty of rape and the female victim cant even remember the assault.

Some odd <trick cyclist> technique uncovered it. Progress eh ?

No kidding.

Just the other day I pinned a 14 year old girl to the mat and told her she was going to lick her shit off my dick when I was done fucking her in the ass.

All the while I was playing creepily with her hair.

I have a really weird job.

I read that report as well today, Vendaval... I am glad you brought it up for discussion.  I was quite surprised upon reading it, that it was man on man sexual harassment.  I would have there would be a greater need for discretion in homosexuality in most workplaces today...

Sinergy: the more you post about your spare time activity in "protecting" women, or teaching them to "protect" themselves the more anxious I become.

Can you not see that there appears to exist some "ishews" ?
At the very least you seem to take your responsibilities a tad too seriously. NO ?

FreshBread -> RE: "More Men Report Sexual Harassment at Work" (3/12/2007 7:29:18 PM)

I'm very insulted.....20+ years on the job and not one request to polish my knob......maybe it's the nail gun?

Vendaval -> RE: "More Men Report Sexual Harassment at Work" (3/12/2007 7:47:28 PM)

Hi puella,

I tend to think the underlying motive is abuse of power,
with sexual harassment being a convenient way to
torment and humiliate someone, whether male or female.

Not really seeksfemslave, but I am willing to accept the fact that you have issues about it.

Perhaps you can find somebody you can discuss and find closure for your issues.  Try looking
under therapist or psychiatrist or whatever in the phone book.

I think I want a job like that!

I just get to boss the guys around all day........occasionally threaten them with the old buggy whip that has been here longer than me.....why I do not know. Print shop, buggy whip......it doesn't quite compute. I also let them put up scantily clad woman photo calendars in the press room and tell bawdy jokes. It does not bother me, they have always been respectful to me and it makes for a happy relaxed work environment.

Seeks, don't look a gifthorse in the mouth.
A few of those nice fat lawsuits and you could be sitting on the beach in Bermuda drinking Gin & Tonics for the rest of your life!
I know guys in Boston who will be all over this with their ambulance chasing lawyers!
Better get on the gravy train before they wise up!
