Just one thing i want to add in reply to RPutnam jr, England still has more influence in world matters than anyone today, we simply evolved, during our Empire it was about trade, trade wars with the Dutch, the Spanish and the French moreso than anyone else it was a race we led for many many centuries. Just because countries such as Australia, India, Canada and various African countries are now self run dosent mean they dont operate on British principles, send their potential leaders to universities in England and seek British advice more than anyone else. We just live in an era where Empires dont work, we understand that and those other countries also cost Britain ALOT of money, the trouble with the USA on that front is they think they can be the next Empire, this is a futile practice, its better to have allies who are self sufficient these days than to govern, we still have an Empire its called the commonwealth, the next generation of Empire lol. As for revolution i agree with a few points made here, we are all pacified into talking our objections out instead of taking to the streets and warring, dont get me wrong if a group of people decided enough was enough i think it would spark a much needed protest and revolution but i agree its no surprise we have so many distractions to occupy our minds whilst more sinister workings occur under our noses.
