Masterspetal -> Introduction (4/3/2005 5:21:50 AM)

Hello to everyone at this forum! We are a happily married couple who enjoy the lifestyle of D/s and BDSM. He is my Master, i his slave. We are not new to the lifestyle, and have been living a 24/7 for over 6 years now (been married over 14).

i am looking forward to finding new friends, and getting into some great discussions here.
See you around the forum[:)]

Welcome, petal :) Hope you enjoy it here. I've often wondered if people who met and married vanilla have difficulties in the shift of power when they make the decision to move to a Master/slave relationship.

best regards,
fate

Hello fate!
Thanks for the welcome! i have always been curious as well, for other married couples who moved from a vanilla relationship to a D/s relationship.

Master and i did a lot of communicating,and had some seriously long deep discussions, and quite a bit of "research" before we decided, that this was the lifestyle we would both enjoy and want to explore. We were best friends first.. then marriage. He is truly my best friend, and i his, even after all these years. i believe that the trust that we have had throughout our entire life together has made the "move" into this lifestyle easier. And communication is the key.

i keep a journal, and don't hold back anything when writing. Master reads and adds his thoughts as well; and if he feels we need to discuss something we do and sometimes it's an all night conversation:)

It wasn't a hard transition for us as a couple, but i had some difficulties in the beginning, fully submitting. He has always had a dominant personality. i was, and can be, a very strong minded and sometimes independant person. Master respects that, and we both feel that having moved into this lifestyle, i should not lose my determination in some areas of our life (work, family, etc). However, i am fully committed to serve Him, and it has been a blissful, fulfilling life since we made our choice.

Thanks again for the welcome.

That is wonderful, petal. I think because of my own personality that I would have found it more difficult. I came to my owner as his slave, and he later did me the honor of making me his wife. I think I would have found it more difficult if I had ever had that equal toehold or if I had ever seen myself as anything other than his property. Because of our history, the collar has more significance in my life than the wedding ring, if that makes sense.

Thanks for sharing!

best regards,
fate
