Once we combine our houses we will have 5 cats, one dog and various fish.  In his house, the cat Angel is in charge and with my group, my Shadow is in charge.  When we are all in one house it will be interesting to see who ends up on top.  I think it will be Shadow because Angel is a little more bullyish and Shadow just knows she is the boss.

Of course at dinner time, my siamese Loki is the spokesperson for the group.  He has a voice like Edith Bunker and it can be the most annoying thing.  I usually torment him and make him sing a little longer before I feed him.

Lol...Yes, Siamese cats are loud and very vocal.  I had one who was the king of the pride and would groom his buddy.

I have a hamster called Frankie (girl) who is an absolute angel.
I also have the rabbit from hell called pete who takes great pleasure in peeing on me and chewing my clothes. He also thinks im food and bites me frequently.

Good luck with your guys...You're braver than I am. The last colt I "broke" nearly broke ME and now I am a wuss! I pay other folks to break my babies these days [:D]

Been entertaining thoughts of getting another.....shhhhhhh!

Yes, they are.  I wish I could say that he is quiet in his sleep but he snores quite loudly too.

I've thought about it, just because I need a new barrel prospect...but I'm kind of putting it off. My 5 now are all 8yrs old now or over and I'm sort of liking how predictable they are [:D]

Oof... a friend of ours breeds Siamese cats... i was talking to him on the phone one time while one of them was in heat, and you would have thought she was being skinned alive. i wouldn't be able to live in the same house with that! Give me a Birman any day [:)]

Yes, that is a most horrifying racket they make!
And if you are a breeder, you have to put up with
it since you cannot spay and neuter the best
breeding pairs.

Sometimes... the really hypocritical part is that he doesn't like it when others snore and if you are snoring he will come wake you up.  He is not as bad about this as he used to be but it is still one of his little quirks.

I have a fawn whippet that rules the house and a red brindle greyhound that is terrified of her. Even though he's 3 times her size and twice her weight he'll still go running if she looks at him funny and raises a lip to show a fang.

Sammy Dean (the grey) does a little dance where he bows down on his front legs and chest then wiggles his ass in the air. As he was doing this the other night his long long tail flew up and smacked himself in the ear. Scared the hell out of him and he went howling into the other room.

Chloe the whippet gets all excited and spins in tight circles when anyone comes into the house. Friends came over and were egging her on with "spin spin spin" She lost control during it and went sprawling into the couch. The look of indignation as we laughed while she limped off was priceless. Right before she left the room she looked back and gave a little snort the likes of which said " Fools, I totally meant to do that." She will also wink at you if you wink at her. Only dog I've ever known that could wink just one eye.

October 2 years ago I had to put down my first brindle boy whippet.  I swear he was sub in a former life. Mr Ben would sit with me on the couch and nudge my legs until I stretched out my feet. Then he would put a paw over my ankles and lick every inch of each foot. When he finished one he would nudge it out of the way and start on the other. Every night, right before bed he would go through the same routine. I swear he could tell time because right before midnight he would sit and just stare me down with his big ole puppy dog eyes until I would pat the couch and tell him to come up. he wouldn't ever jump up on the furniture unless formally invited thus the moniker Mr Ben.

We have four cats, a dog, a rabbit a fox I feed outside and a slightly insane grouse.

my cats are all rescue animals and have some pretty funky quarks, Mouse is part siamese and has a 'thing' about sleep masks, if I happen to wear one he comes up and yanks at the  elastic head band with an OCD type mania, he is also extremly vocal, he loves to follow me around the house 'chatting'   Otho's is our newest rescue. he is a gorgeous ragdoll that was ferral for about two years before I found him in ugly shape, a coyote had gotten him and  took off his ear as well as blinded him in one eye. He was also a bundle of mats and ear infections.  his face against

Rob wanted to name him 'table saw' since the money for his table saw went to the vet bill.    He is incredibly friendly if not a little rough looking ( some ass  hit him with something and his upper and lower canines were broken)    He thinks he is the alpha kitty of the house but from time to time I see my female cat Angel giving him the chase, just to remind his she's the matriach ;)
My dog Akasha feels that she is a lap dog... a bit of a challenge since she is 80 pounds of fur and teeth.

LoL....now that's funny!

MistressDiane -> RE: Pet poll (3/18/2007 12:07:37 PM)

When my tomcat, Punkin', was young I'd wake up in the middle of the night with him trying to pull my earrings out. That was Real annoying. Thankfully I am a light sleeper so I'd always catch him in the act before he got them out.
The youngest cat we have now will creep up on the bed very quietly at night and check real closely to see if her daddy is awake so he can watch her do her "get on top of the dresser to eat trick". We've always kept a bowl up there just for her and he would say "big jump, big jump" to encourage her. Now she always wants to make sure he's watching so she can do her trick for him. If his eyes are closed and she figures he's asleep she'll just leave. It's cute.
