I was sitting here this morning watching the history channel on the Japanese Atomic Bomb Project and was wondering why people blamed the US so much because we discovered how to do it and employed the weapons first?

If the Germans discovered the bomb first they'd be blaming them.
Sometimes you just have to shut off certain people.

There is debate about the Japanese having exploded one in what is now N Korea. That started in the 40's after WWII. Wonder if we should blame them.

If the Japanese had produced a bomb during WW2 it would have been set off in some little remote place like San Francisco or Seattle, and all the loyal citizens of the Empire would have rejoiced to see the hairy barbarians fry.
They had some theoretical knowledge, but even in the scramble to respond to the Hiroshima bomb the scientists had to admit they had no hope of producing a bomb in the forseeable future.
Blame Hitler for scaring all of those German scientists into emigrating to the US, so we could make the bombs.
