Llyren -> RE: do married guys have much luck here? (3/16/2007 9:55:24 PM)

Great minds and all....

I am not critcizing anyone for being thin, or for wanting to look his or her best.  What I am having a problem with is the need to bolster one's ego by deriding others, and the idea that one particular mindset or body type is inherently superior.  People come in all shapes and sizes and colours.  Everyone has some sort of inherent value, unless they deliberately choose to ignore what makes them valuable.

[sm=preen.gif]

P.S.  As  has been said before, the rest of you are welcome to the 'typical' guys.  I don't find them at all interesting.

This is true. I dated a lot of them in high school. They really weren't worth my time. However, if she wants them she can have them all!

LOL!...this is gotten so off topic!   My comments were directed only at the poster who put up a lousy photo, and at least to me if I were a Domme would cause me to pass by his profile faster than a bullet BDSM train.  Anyone who read anything more than that into my straight forward comment has some sort of personal issue...i.e. some reflex action due to past comments on their size and looking for an excuse to take their rejection reaction out upon.

The reality is, in my own view that is, that most of the guys here simply realize that most skinny/average sized woman have enough suiters in the vanilla world of a VARIETY of styles/sizes (dominants included) that the woman have enough opportunities for fulfillment that for what they are mostly interested in that appearance here MUST be secondary...not that they really prefer plus-sized woman.  I would "love" to see someone start a poll that includes "if you had your rathers you would prefer:
-skinny
-slightly trimmer than average,
-average (not plus size even if 14W is mid-range)
-a few pounds heavier
- BMI of 25 to 30
-BMI over 30

All I can say is I'll wait to do my voting in that poll.  Meanwhile in the vanilla-world I'll take the votes on sites such as "Hot or Not" and go from there (for myself always 8.0 and higher), but then most photos there from plus-size woman are from shoulders on up....go figure.  I would love to see a "BDSM Hot or Not" site be started, with and without scene gear on.  The question is whether most Doms/Dommes here truly have different preferences or are more "willing to settle" after their primary "Dom" concerns are met.  Frankly I think the PC view expressed so far is a bit different than the reality-check that most on here are unwilling to put into a new topic thread and be tested on. (silence again?)  But pleasseeee...go ahead and make my day....and prove me wrong...LOL!

Meanwhile I still content that the poster here should have left his clothes on, as well as his wedding band on his finger....and the Dommes here have basically given him their silent finger in response.

And please tell me you "fuller" size woman have more self confidence than to dwell on a single comment made to a out-of-shape middle aged man in tight briefs to defend than "weight issue" here on a Friday night...instead of getting laid or whipped into sub-space!

All us woman breast size A, B and C (sorry a cut off point here unless you provide the serial number of your implants) may we unite!  We have the right to be trimmer and more healthy!!  Tennis anyone?...slot open on court 9 at 2 PM tomorrow ... ...LOL!

personally, i do not find you attractive (as a bisexual female). you don't look particularly confident or joy-full to me, and your weight really doesn't have a whole lot to do with it (at least physically - i don't find you at all attractive because you're thin).

*shrugs* i think me, geeky, and aquatic are pretty damn sexy. (and hey, i never used to have a dearth of emails when i had my pics up, hehehe...i'm 5'3" and 195-200lbs, which is in the 35 bmi range, by the way. i also have 38ddds. completely natural.)

if you like taking your opinion from hot or not sites, then more power to you. i would caution you that MAYBE the real world would be a good place to venture every now and then. just a little bit.

i do not have a dearth of men trying to pick me up in real life. if i wanted to, i could sleep with a different man every night. however, i don't measure myself in how attractive i am to other people (nor do i really need to fuck that much). it seems you do. more power to you, although that appears to me to be a very unfulfilled existence.

never was a big fan of tennis...i could probably kick your ass in a dance competition, though. up for a yoga class?

that said, to the op: maybe in your position it's good to put out what you want to put out to get what you want, and your original picture isn't good marketing. but if it's what makes you happy, who the fuck cares? if you're really THAT concerned with finding a domme, cater to that...if you want someone who judges you solely on your looks. but i don't think there's anything wrong with your pic. it isn't attractive to me, personally, but then again, it's on the same level of attraction as chrissyslave's pics...neither of them really tickle me. i don't think there's anything wrong with it.

p.s. i was watching tlc the other day and saw a program on a man who weighed over 1000 lbs (no, i am not joking). he placed a personal ad when he was near his highest weight and ended up marrying one of the respondents. they are still very happily married and she has supported him through his weight loss (at the time of the showing, his lowest weight was around 600 lbs). she saw past the way he looked. i have confidence that other people do, too.

chrissyslave -> RE: do married guys have much luck here? (3/16/2007 10:05:57 PM)

Thanks for the proofreading....wondered when someone was going to do that for me!

From your profile I am happy for your commitment to losing your excess weight....seems more than a few woman subs here state as for that to be one of their criteria from a Dom/Master to assist them in achieving that goal...go for it!  I support people in a variety of life interests to do what is best for their overall well being, and often weight loss is part of their goals.  It is already well known that lower BMI (Body Mass Index) down to average levels, or a tad below,  is more healthy and leads to longer and better lives.  Years ago I just decided that I would do whatever it took to achieve that for myself, and if it resulted in being more attractive then that was a bonus.  I think no less of someone who is above their ideal BMI but I more respect those who seek to improve on it even more....as a sign of their commitment to their own health, and if connected with me then as a sign they would wish to live longer and proper even more, man or woman.  However I do have the right to tend towards those who are already health conscious and looking out for OUR best interests, BDSM or otherwise.

I wish you the success you seek for obtaining the body you know you have at your core, as well as overcoming anything that led you to gaining more weight than you wanted.  Been there...done that, and focused on preventing it from reoccurring.

Just for the record, since this thread is already derailed...i do not think crissy is too thin - i think she looks healthy and athletic.

hisannabelle -> RE: do married guys have much luck here? (3/16/2007 10:14:05 PM)

chrissy...not all of us who are overweight have weight-related health problems. i have many health problems, all of which were there 40, 50, 60, hell, over 100 lbs ago (my longest lasting and worst one having been present since age 5, and one minor one having been present since birth). however, anything that could be affected by my weight is normal - my heart is fine, my sugar is fine, my cholesterol is great, i'm active. i'm much more likely to die of eating disorder complications (being a recovering ednos with mostly anorexic behaviors - which is what destroyed my metabolism in the first place) earlier than my normal life expectancy than to die of complications due to being overweight. or, for that matter, i'm a hell of a lot more likely to get hit by a car, really.

eta: dawn, i don't think she's too thin either. i just personally don't find her attractive, based on her pictures or her profile. as far as looks go, that may be because i -tend- to find overweight women more attractive - although i think you're gorgeous, as are many other normal-weight women on the site. it may just be personal preference. but no, i don't think she's dangerously thin.

She definately not dangerously thin. But I wouldn't say she's in a position to fuss about other people's looks. However, if she loses more weight I would definately say she's too skinny for me and I'm more forgiving of skinny chicks then Valyraen.

As for her misguided views on health - remove head from butt. My doc says I'm fine at 190. She doesn't want me to gain more weight, but I'm perfectly healthy here. I guess you don't know all you like to think you do.

Thankyou for the compliment :-)
i find a woman's spirit to be where her true beauty lies...i am just very fortunate that i can manifest my inner self with good physical health and fitness because these are important to me for my own self~

FelinePersuasion -> RE: do married guys have much luck here? (3/16/2007 10:37:38 PM)

My doctor said the least I should weigh is 135 to 145 I am way off that, but it's not recommended for me to go any lower.

Thank you, and that is likely the best description of myself by any reasonable standard, and practice.  The unfortunate aspect in this thread was that a comment about an obvous photo about a male-sub was turned into a defensive reaction by woman sub/slaves, and that was never the intent, and merely shows their insecurity.

I simply do not accept that appearance, of which weight is one possible factor, is a reason for a lack of responses is to be ignored as a due consideration, whether by mere presentation or the basic reality. This site doesn't list height and weight characteristics, plus allow photos on this site for no reason at all.  I acknowledge that some people might prefer heavier persons and some people might not...but regardless a person's presentation of one's self is critical in most cases.  I have yet to see the heavier gals show waist revealing photos of rolls of fat around their waistlines and go "can you dig this?"  Since when does a man's love handles in the range of begging for a baggage claim ticket become attractive?  What sets him, or her above and beyond the average Joe....or Jane?

And as much as I give allowance for those those might prefer the more "robust" figure I also demand the same respect for those that offer the trimmer more efficient models to choose from among.  In my other world I am known as Chrissy-Xena....a princess warrior and for the man or D to rule over me they need to show they are superior in both physical and mental areas.  Anyone that cares to truly challenge this one had best be prepared to feel my verbal sword.  So I have withheld my sword and hopefully this thread may get back to what it was intended to be.

Have a good Friday evening everyone!

This makes a lot of sence to me and explains a lot.. often time people that where heavy and lost waight are more critical and even nasty to those of is that maintain the extra pounds.

You know.... you may be right. In fact I know you are - to a point. But you've got to ask yourself something "Do you really want to be the shallow asshole who runs around pointing out how ugly everyone is at the first chance?"

Just how low is your self-confidence if you have to bluster it by mocking the physical appearance of others and making snide comments about those who are overweight. All you are doing is demonstrating to everyone that yes, you may be hot. But your personality leaves a lot to be desired.

hisannabelle -> RE: do married guys have much luck here? (3/16/2007 10:49:24 PM)

i don't need my dominant to be superior over me physically or mentally, or tame me in any way. if i did, i wouldn't self-identify as a submissive or slave. i think this is just another way we are different, most likely. anywho, i guess it's time to get back on track. and i was having so much fun! ;)

that said, i never did get back around to jumping on the Cheating Is Teh Evil bandwagon, although i agree wholeheartedly with what's been posted...to the op - out of curiosity - i know that you state that it is not an either or thing to you. but would it be to your wife if she knew? if you do not care about how she feels, why do you stay married, if i can ask?

eta: how does being heavier make me less efficient? because i take up more room in the car? what?

There you go again.. in the same post that you say you respect others choises for heavier people you sate that you want respect for wanting "trimmer more efficinet" now there a back handed comment if there ever was one!!! Trimmer doesnt mean more efficient or better as you seem to think it does!!

Ahh Magik... someone seem to suffer from the delusion that a backhanded compliement is a still a true compliement and that we should ignore the backhanded part. It's a bit like saying "Maggie is a nice person. Her hair is really nasty though, so I know she won't get a good man. But she's really nice!"
