bowandserve -> second chances? (3/15/2007 5:44:49 PM)

There's been some subs in the past that had potential and it ended. Perhaps I dismissed too easily or was too demanding up front and they got overwhelmed.

I'm still in touch with a couple and think about trying them again. Goes against my dom side to ever forgive and forget.

Have you taken back a sub? Was it worth it? Did work out in the end?

well profile not found---

in a word no.  When it comes to that-- send lawyers, guns and money....

Sure, they can turn your head--what drew them to you in the first place?
But if you are fundamentally incompatable, why try to fuck it up again by further investment?

I like your use of this phrase.  But wish you'd have kept it for a train wreck of a thread.  It'd really be funny there.

I can forsee the future, Katy---

He may ride forever 'neath the streets of Boston-------
Ol' Charlie held the handle, and the train it won't stop goin'
Casey Jones, a-steamin' and a-rollin'
And the sons of pullman porters and the sons of engineers;
ride their father's magic carpet made of steel---------------

trailers for sale or rent,

rooms to let 50 cent--------

windchymes -> RE: second chances? (3/15/2007 6:49:19 PM)

The same goes for potential dom's.  I used to make excuses, forgive and forget, give second, third, fourth chances.  Now I just listen to my gut when it tells me that something ain't right, and not to waste anymore time with it.

fergus?

you lookin' to take him out of action?

He speaks for himself, but I am sure he could be spanked..

what do you offer the boy?
He is not as big on railroad as he is on rubber meeting the road or metaphor.

He's a metaphysical genius----can you live with that?

SweetDommes -> RE: second chances? (3/15/2007 7:02:08 PM)

There are one or two that I would give a second chance to - mostly based on the fact that they were unrelocatable at the time we decided that it wasn't going to work.  If they become relocatable, then I'd be happy to consider them again and see where things go.

However, if they were no longer in consideration for other reasons, I'd have to think really hard about it.

Did I say 'good people'?  I meant 'real sweetheart'.  Ron's a real sweetheart ;)

SilverShadows -> RE: second chances? (3/15/2007 7:06:12 PM)

I have never had any luck with second chances and have had bad experiences. If the error was significant enough to drop them in the first place they probably should have know better.  $0.02

what meal do you fancy the most, hungryslutpuppy?

No offense intended, but I have a feeling that the OP would like some input that is on topic, rather than watching the two of you converse.
