A violation would be an event with long term consequences, like any other violation of a more conventional HL.

While I give and enjoy receiving a good foot massage, crossing over into "worship", i.e., sucking, licking or biting, is a hard limit.

I can so see opera. Used to have a neighbor who blasted it every damned day. Duct tape on skin, especially as a gag. Panic at the thought.

One of my sub's hard limits is yogurt. Kid you not. shrug Not like I usually use yogurt in a scene but I guess its good to know.

There was also the lady who couldn't be made to eat any food that were mixed together. She had some food issues, so we used her as a susse (sp) platter one night.

People find some of the hard limits in my profile pretty unusual, e.g. fishing, hunting, and camping, but there is a story behind that. As a child, I was the ultimate girlie-girl, but was frequently dragged along on fishing, hunting, and camping trips by my father, which I HATED! He never had the son that he wanted, so I was the next best thing (for him, that is.) As an adult, I choose to never, ever, ever do these things again! Sky-diving scares the daylights out of me. I am a horrible singer, and choose to not inflict that on anyone else. The reason karaoke is out is that many sing even worse than I do, but don't seem to realize it. Scientology is a hard limit due to a very negative experience I had with them harassing me several years ago. As far as a sub's hard limits go, one sub said that inserting things into his ear canal was a hard limit. That was the only time I have ever heard that one. It wasn't something I was planning to do anyway, so it wasn't a problem. Lady Topaz
