Blatant curiosity on my part (being new to CM)...

Who else here uses the Packmaster/Pack dynamic in their relationships? And which animal pack are you using for you and yours? (Wolves, Dogs, etc) And, more to the point, how well does this dynamic work in the outside world for you and yours?

(And yes, I tried searching but if the topic came up before, I could not find it with the search terms I used...)
(And yes, I hope this is the right forum to discuss this issue.)

I understand your question is a serious one.  I believe this is how you live your life, and that responses like Ron's are of little value.  You don't desire or deserve snark.

Screw it.

I think gangs have a similar sort of relationship, if you look at it that way.  Their leadership and membership tends to be rather fluid, however.

And yes, I realize 'that' remark could be taken further, but I've done enough damage here.

My husband and I have formed a leather family.  We both have animal totems and it seemed natural to call our family not a house but our den. Since we are both dominant we are both alpha.  However we still have our submissives use the terms Ma'am and Sir.  So we are using a mixture of pack structure and human structure.  That is the joy of BDSM.   You can adapt it for what makes you comfortable and feels right.

Thank you for your comment. I understand he was being "funny". Yes, gangs have a similar dynamic, but are lacking in the commitment and in the shared activities.

I allowed my former Packmate to sever ties to other packs (I will NEVER make that mistake again).

I am, to make this perfectly clear, trying to find other packmasters and packs. There are issues with running a pack that I want to talk with another packmaster about. (Tops, Doms, Masters, etc don't get it, but I don't get their dynamic either. Switches come close, but are lacking in other areas.)

well, I am  not at all sure that is true-- the vast majority of animals run in packs, schools, gaggles and other units.

Humans are social animals and a great many understand alpha and pack dynamics,
funny is also something humans have a propensity for, why else would those of such lofty and inane fluid dynamics pretend they have a glimmer of a clue of value?

Sorry for the hijack but this whole thing reminds me of Cesar Milan. ~shiver and double shiver~ I'd wear his pack collar ANY day.
