Now my daughter says she doesn't have time to plan her wedding and wants me to do it. There will only be immediate family there, about 12-15 guests. I've been doing some online research and found tons of options, but nothing beats others' experiences. Has anyone here done a small casino wedding in Vegas. If so where and how did it go?

Hmmm now i'm thinking a trip to Vegas, say around May 20 might be in order to research this, but not sure Hubby would go for that.[:)]

I think it should be a REQUIREMENT~!

Just about every one of the major casinos/resorts have in-house wedding programs. Like everything else where to go depends on your budget. I know some people at Caesars. Here is their link:

You'll see that even once you pick a place, you'll still have a lot of decisions ahead of you. Bellagio, Venetian, Mandalay Bay, all have special wedding programs. I think many more do, but those are the ones I know.

You also have all the "wedding specialty" chapels where you can have everything from the traditional to the "Elvis" wedding.

Yes, even Circus Circus has a chapel. I saw a wedding being done at Bellagio and it was beautiful!! It's a newer resort that spared no expense with their decor. I don't know how much it cost to do it there, but the people I knew who got married were on a budget. I'm sure Ceasars would be just as nice. It's almost like too many options. Good luck!

First and oremost you should ask her. She may not want a Vegas wedding. If it were me(just my preference) I find Vegas weddings pretty tacky. I mean everyone goes there and does it.
Doug has asked me about it on more than one occassion. Personally I'd rather do it in a park someplace. Just a few friends. Something a little more original if I can rather than follow the herd.

It was her idea. I understand your thinking Gloria. But the ease of planning, the low cost, the cheap hotel rooms, and the ease of travel for both families is a big plus for us. Also, we don't have a lot of time to plan this, now they are looking at July 6 or 7.

Thanks ann. I've seen one of the wedding areas at the Bellagio and it was gorgeous with all the flowers. I will check it out also.

If anyone is interested the wedding is taking shape. If all the arrangments work out it will be July 7 at the Tropicana Island Chapel with the reception at the Melting Pot. They will honeymoon at my brother's condo on Maui.[:)]
