Status: offline 		I am very new to the lifestyle and so please forgive my ignorance and my stereotyping, that's why I'm here, to learn.  Are there many male subs/slaves that would described as masculine, a "man's man" if you will?  I guess I see most as being closeted CDs or sissies.  Again, I do not mean to offend anyone. ^_^

And CDs and sissies can be very masculine as well at other times.

Status: offline 		There are a lot of very masculine male submissives and salves in the lfiestyle. There are a lot of Dommes who prefer to command those types, and get nothing from commanding a sissy, cd or effemninate male. Ive known body builders, there are a lot of military or former military... like anywhere else, it takes all types.

Status: offline 		I am fairly strict about being involved only with MASCULINE submissives.  Sometimes a "softie" is great but the "boyish" or "sissy" type is just annoying to me.   I have no patience for the indecisive, the immature nor the spineless.   

So, to tell you what I know, YES!!!!!!!!   --- There are "manly" subs (many,  in-fact) out there and women who LOVE them!  In my opinion the more masculine type is better as a submissive.  It's more of a challenge for them to submit so, thier submission is more precious to me.

Status: offline 		My male sub is as masculine as any "dominant" male. He hunts, fishes, wears camo and all that stuff. If you were to stand him up in a line up of "manly" men you wouldn't know him from the next guy. In fact he used to be a master until he realized that it was not who he truly was. So the untrue generalization that ALL male subs are sissies/gay/unmanly/subhuman is a bunch of crap.

Most of the male subs that I have met are wonderful men who choose to submit for many of the same reasons that a sub female does. Does that make female subs less feminine? No I think not.

Status: offline 		Like was said, it takes all types.  I am one of those Domme's who has a preference for wanting Her boys to be boys.  CD's just don't appeal to Me.  For others, it seems to be their particular interest.  Just like in the vanilla world, there are always different things that appeal to different people.  It's ok to ask questions.  That's how we learn things.

Status: offline 		I know personaly, I like my boys to be effeminate looking and soft. My mentor used to prefer men that were tall, musclebound and rugged looking. That look never did much for me. Both of us had a very easy time finding what we were looking for. Just like not all sub females are petite, ultra femenine ladies there is no umbrella for what all sub men are.
Hell, for that matter not al Dom men are the overly masculine manly man types.  I knew one back in NY who was about as efferminate as my Angel is, but no less a Master for it.

*shrug* Tell that to all the women who love putting on thigh highs, heels, corsets and the whole nine yards and consider that just a regular part of playing.  How many female subs do you see wearing pants at a kinky event?

Like it or not, feminine features are stereotypically associated with submission and the scene has cultivated a value on emphasizing feminine characteristics (long hair/thin waists/pert butt) as part of being a good submissive.

It's hardly universal or even TRUE, but it's very common and very understandable.

You've already been reassured that there are plenty of male subs out there not into the feminization thing at all...what more can we provide?

While there are certainly many, many male subs out there into CD/TS/sissie lifestyle/play, there are a good many of us who would never be mistaken as feminine under any circumstance.  I am 6'2", 230 lbs with shaved head, mustache and goatee- Mistress likes Her boys to be boys.  I make a very ugly woman- not gonna fool anyone. 

But that's okay, there is room for us all.
