"AP: Mold, Leaky Roofs Beset VA Clinics"

"WASHINGTON - The Veterans Affairs' vast network of 1,400 health clinics and hospitals is beset by maintenance problems such as mold, leaking roofs and even a colony of bats, an internal review says.

The investigation, ordered two weeks ago by VA Secretary Jim Nicholson, is the first major review of the facilities conducted since the disclosure of squalid conditions at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.

A copy of the report was provided to The Associated Press."

This report didn't much surprise me, the government has been treating Vets deplorably for years. It took them twenty years; just to admit agent orange had side effects in Nam Vets.

I've been in V.A. Hospitals many times for my own ailments.
About 4 years ago at the Manchester, N.H. V.A. Hospital I was in an elevator and a guy got in with his wife and another guy standing next to me recognised him and said hello and asked him what he was in for and the guy said; "they just diagnosed me with agent orange."
It was a long ride down only three floors.
Like I always say, But they have PLENTY of money for "foreign aid" though!

    And about 14 years so far, trying very hard not to notice how many GW1 vets are plagued with chronic illness.  It's a disgrace.

That is just terrible!  But like others have mentioned here,
I am not surprised.  One of my friends has been in and out
of VA hospitals in Southern California for years.  He had a
mental breakdown from being with the bureaucratic mess.
