TheSheepy -> What the gods do with selfish prayers (3/21/2007 4:24:50 PM)

When I was little, I would pray that I would one day have a pony and that I would be rich enough to shower in chocolate. I am blessed enough to have a pony, and enough money to live off of. I work at a Coldstone Creamery... a national chain of ice cream parlors. We make the ice cream in the stores from bags of mix and different natural flavorings. This is where the problems start.
I work the mornings, and as it is off-season, I work alone all day. Yesterday, truck came late. The delivery guy was rushed, I was frazzled, and we were both moving way too fast. A box of mix was damaged, but usable, so I put it in the freezer and forgot about it... until today.
Today, I was rushing to clean for inspection tomorrow. I had the enitre kitchen perfectly clean and the floor mopped and shiny. I went to pour the last bag of chocolate ise cream mix in the machiene and the bag busted because of yesterday's damage. Chocolate ice cream mix flew everywhere- into the front of the store, all over the floors, on the freezer, on the walls, and all over me. I had officially showered in chocolate- and undone 4 hours of work.
Of course, that is when lunch rush came through, and in my hurry to get to the front, I fell in ice cream mix. I finally got everything cleaned up, and the ice cream was done. And then a spring broke, and I was showered with choclate ice cream.
For some reason, I found this hilarious, and a coworker walked in and helped clean. I guess the gods have a great sense of humor!
Any other bad day experiences that would be humorous to others out there?

Don't the well known "they" say to be careful what you wish for?  Guess it applies to prayers too. [sm=biggrin.gif]

I'd be living in fear of how the pony will show up...
