So the first hundred hours of the dems bears massive scrutinany but the last 6 years doesn't?

Give them time, SimplyMichael.

They will soon insist the Liberal Menace needs to learn how to "live in the now."

yep crappy, winning elections means you get scrutinized(sp?).  Welcome to the big leauges.  It is easy to sit on the side and snipe, much harder to actually do stuff.

Brace yourself for the shock, LD: I'm gonna agree with you. Once you get the gavel, you have to figure that you're under the lens. Partisan that I am, I've actually wondered whether winning with such slender majorities was entirely a blessing.

It is a big fucking blessing in my eyes, DC.

I seen the work of our august body over the last 12 years, and having been entierly unimpressed with it, don't have any faith in the sequel.  so a deadly embrace looks good to me.

Thanks DC.  It was maddening to watch the dems filibuster so many of the Rep ideas over the past 6 years, like the energy bill.  Now its your sides turn.  Just how the game is played

Not at all, the question was about the Congressional 100 hours.  They never made a promise to pass these things into law, they promisted to do THEIR part, pass them through Congress.. that  requires the Senate (over which they have no control or right) and the President (over which they have no control or right).  You are ammending the question and the promise of the now Congressional majority.

I'm just a bill.
Yes, I'm only a bill.
And I'm sitting here on Capitol Hill.
Well, it's a long, long journey
To the capital city.
It's a long, long wait
While I'm sitting in committee,
But I know I'll be a law some day
At least I hope and pray that I will
But today I am still just a bill

They have done what they are supposed to do.  It then goes to the President.  That's how the process works.  So the ball is in his Court.

uh ... puella ....

"Congress" is composed of both the House of Representatives and the Senate.

The Senate is control by the Democrats:

The Senate Democratic Caucus (or Conference) is the formal organization of the current 49 Democratic Senators in the United States Senate. In the 110th Congress, the Democratic Caucus includes two Independent senators that formally caucus with the Democrats for the purpose of committee assignments and Senate organization, bringing the total membership of the caucus to 51. The primary organizational front for Democrats in the Senate, its primary function is communicating the party's message to and unifying all of its members. Caucus leadership consists of Senator Harry Reid (NV) as Chairman and Senate Majority Leader, Senator Charles Schumer (NY) as Vice-Chairman, and Senator Patty Murray (WA) as Secretary.

You really need to get a hobby, shadow.

Hehe, yes I obviously misspoke and meant to be more specific and, as he was speaking of the 100 hours (which was only the promise of the Congressmen and women in the House of Reps... I mistakenly assumed you would understand that it was that branch of Congress to which I was referring.. sorry if that confused you).
