needs are something that will vary from person to person, really.
many doms need (or desire) constant attention to their wants - for example, some dominants enjoy having submissives be very attentive to filling drinks, opening doors, etc. mine hates that. ;) it really does vary - a lot - from person to person. for me, i learned how to be "good for Him," in the sense of learning about his needs and wants and how to fulfill them - by asking and being overly attentive to His reactions to things. i'm still a bit slow on some things (occasionally we run into something that He thought i should have caught onto intuitively and i didn't), but overall i think talking about it, asking about it, and just simple attentiveness to your dominant's actions, etc. will lead naturally to being able to intuit what he wants and needs from you.
