I have had one or two replies to my profile from subs who then go on to delete their profile.
 
Usually the replies are quite good, not simple one liners, why would someone take the trouble to write a memo and then simply delete it?
 
Then there is the slave who writes pages and pages of info about real slavery, and most of it is very interesting actually, loads of good info in it, then he disappeared, why? Why do that? Any insights would be welcomed.

May they find the person who they seek and have no use for their profiles anymore. They might also have had second thoughts about using a web site

I tend to agree with the above.  I deleted my profile when i found my Maste.  He told me to re acative it .

same here I deleated my profile when I found Master but so that I could keep posting I opend another acount with this name its simply here now so I can make friends and the name itself makes it very clear Im owned as well as what is written in my profile... but my other profile was deleated.

Turning the tables... I had a note from a Dom who, when I went to look at his profile, had turned it off/deleted it. When I asked him about it, he said it was b/c he had gotten too much mail. It sounded reasonable but then it made me wonder what he was still doing sending OUT mail to subs?

I deleted my profile because i realized i had remade one too soon after leaving last year. Mostly, i was overwhelmed, and generally annoyed at the lack of people who actually read the profile.

Sometimes it's because we need a break....believe it or not...creepy, rude emails can get quite tiresome. Not that their all like that mind you..but sometimes it seems they come out of the woodwork.......hmmm,....full moon effect?

When I saw this thread, I thought it said "subs / slaves who delete their mail" and about had a heart attack. Last night, Master gave me a lecture about deleting my mail and I just ~knew~ this thread was his, detailing what happens to subs / slaves who delete their mail without permission. ~chuckle~

caningexpert, I am glad this thread is yours. The answers as to why someone deletes his or her profile are as varied as individuals. If you find that it is the norm for people to delete their profiles after speaking with you, if it is the norm rather than the exception, I'd chalk it up to being scary, boring, or just plain weird.

The first time I deleted mine I was recovering from an illness.  The second time I had found Tacs and was not in the mood to rewrite it/update it.  And I was not going to be on the site much, if at all, so I deactivated it.  Why include my profile in the searches of others when I don't need to be found ?[;)]

I deleted mine today because I'm taken but apparently that phrase is beyond the vocabulary limitations of some of the trolls present here.

slaveish - Lol, thanks for that!!!! Its not the norm, just the odd one or two!! No way am I scary, boring or just plain weird, ....then again......compared to a boring vanilla life, well wouldnt most of us be scary and weird!!!Lol

Well, I'm sure there are as many reasons as users online at any given time.

I did have an odd one recently. Someone I met through here, and met with and played with several times. About a month back he mailed me to see if we could meet up again. I went to see him, we had a nice evening, just as before. Next day his profile had gone poof. I could have called him, but I decided that if he wanted to maintain contact, he'd get in touch. I mean, he has my number too.

Your other nicks are not deactivated, your other names still come up.

...a way of re-inventing yourself. Perhaps they're not as submissive as they are or they feel a new alias will make them more submissive...

People can read profiles by logging in as a guest which may be why they do not show as having read your profile before emailing or replying.

I deleted mine because I really have lost any interest in meeting anyone from here.  I like the forums a great deal and enjoy reading and posting to them, but I honestly do not want attention from dominants seeking out subs on here.

It sucks (and not in the fun, slurpy way) when someone who was corresponding with you disappears without warning.

My guess is that they have hooked up with someone else, or decided the lifestyle is not really for them.

If you have them on your favorties, you may be surprised to see them pop up again sometime. Not everything works out as planned, and not everyone who disapears stays gone.
