Okay I realize that most are so against professional Dominants, that just the words get their blood boiling. So I am looking for some input from the source.

I have a full time job, a wonderful pet (my husband), a family, and other obligations.

So is it gravely wrong for me to ask for payment during play sessions either online or in person?

Also, if not what is a fair price? $10 for online, $50 for in-person?

Or should I just shut down my collarme account and leave all the subs out there who are looking for a kinky fix to find another source? Since most I have talked to just simply want a free session with a professional dominatrix anyway.

Thank you for your time, and don't worry I already fully expect negitive feedback so bring it on!

Lady Ann

No providing you are providing a service that warrants payment.

Sounds fair to me but not being a pro i don't know what the going rate is.
Or should I just shut down my collarme account and leave all the subs out there who are looking for a kinky fix to find another source?
No if this is a career you want to follow - go for it.

Thank you for your input. It is greatly apprecated!

I see nothing wrong with charging as long asall are agreed.  You are providing a service.  Others who provide services (doctors) get paid so why not you?

As for the going rate, sorry can't help you there but the rates you said sound ok to me.

Why would you shut down your account?  There is no need to.

If people are willing to pay to play, I see nothing wrong with it.
If you are not in a serious relationship, many people want something out of it.
Most things in life are not free.
Your dungeon will not be free, someone has to build it and pay for it, why not?

DiurnalVampire -> RE: Private Meetings Vs Pro-Domme (3/22/2007 5:56:43 PM)

Theres a difference between letting someone know up front that you are expecting to be paid for your time, and those that wait until after play to let them know their total due.  If they are willing to pay someone, why shouldnt it be you?

Thanks agian for all who have responded. I am not going to charge for just chatting or anything like that only, one on one sessions.

If I got a load of negitive comments I would have simply closed my account. As I have just about had it with all the "gimme" people.

I am beginning to think of it as when I was training horses. It was something they wanted done but lacked the skills to do it.

Plus I am not looking for a relationship at all. I am married to one of the slaves I own.

i think that if pro-domination interests you more right now than opening up new relationships with potential slaves, that makes a lot of sense. if you're interested in bdsm only scenes and not sexual interaction, or much emotional interaction for that matter, as someone else has mentioned - if someone is willing to pay you for it, why not? i don't think it has so much to do with how precious your time is right now - because you are busy - but rather with the fact that you're only seeking the occasional scene at the moment, and that is generally what pro-dominants (from what i know) provide. so, if it's something you're comfortable with, by all means, go for it!

openmindedslave -> RE: Private Meetings Vs Pro-Domme (3/22/2007 8:30:24 PM)

if your not sure about pricing...then why not simply contact a prodom for their expertise on this matter. In fact there may be some other facts that may have been over looked. Can not speak on all pro doms out here, but many have been very open on the message boards to sharing  ideas and experiences in the past. just a suggestion...

agreed. i would also recommend contacting a pro-domme and perhaps a lawyer (unless you are already well-versed in tax issues) on making sure you claim everything properly on taxes.

A funny and true story:

I went to a gay club for Halloween one year and decided to dress as a "dominatrix."  I was approached by at least 3 straight, male cross-dressers, one of which approached me very timidly to have a conversation.  Turns out he was seeing a pro and wanted to find another that was living closer to where he was located, and proceeded to ask me questions as to my status.  He offered me $300 to clean my house, naked and on his hands and knees (no play, no sex), once a month.  I'm not a pro but personally know a few in NYC that often up to charge $300 for a half-hour session.  Of course, it al depends on what the client desires.

Best Wishes
LBO

mnottertail -> RE: Private Meetings Vs Pro-Domme (3/23/2007 10:17:08 AM)

Send that guy to me, I need my house cleaned, anybody got a pair of stillettos I can borrow?

Ron
added: actually, I think I can rent them for about $300 it looks like

MsSonnetMarwood -> RE: Private Meetings Vs Pro-Domme (3/23/2007 12:24:10 PM)

$50 for a pro session is rather bargain-basement;  I would say that averages for an hour with a pro vary from $150-$400, depending on the pro, her set up, her skills, and location.   You definately want to investigate what your professional "competition" is (try www.maxfisch.com) and you definately need to treat it like a business.  I would recommend consulting with a lawyer who is very familiar with your state and county sex laws to make sure you're aware of the legalities.

Archer -> RE: Private Meetings Vs Pro-Domme (3/23/2007 3:52:38 PM)

I have many freinds who are Professional as a job and lifestyle in their private life.
I don't have a problem with Professionals I have a problem with amatures for pay.
Online scenes for money? not anything I have even heard of Professionals doing.
The professionals I know spend alot of time learning their skills both mental and emotional, attending classes given by other professionals and experienced lifestylers as well.
If you're going to go Pro then go pro and leave the amature ofr money stuff alone.
Most of the Pro's I know start out in the $150 range for one hour RT and then increase their rates as they get more in demand,
finding what the market will bear.

Well, if you were in San Francisco, you could take the "How to Be a Professional Dominatrix" class from The Learning Annex to answer your questions:

"Being a Professional Dominatrix requires a lot more knowledge than can possibly be taught in one evening, but this class will definitely put you on the right path of knowledge.

In this seminar you will learn:
* Starting your own Sessions and basic rules for location
* Scene or Working names
* The Big Four: No kids, no drugs, no drunks, no sex!
* Pro Sessions – a quick primer on how to provide sessions
* Backups - Why you should always have someone else present
* The ‘how and why' of record keeping
* Examining your reasons for becoming a Professional
* Legalities of S/M and/or paid sessions. "

taking the money factor out of the equation, i'd really like to know, what is it that you have to offer, especially online, that makes you a pro?

this is intended to the o.p, not the person who i accidentally put in my replied to column.

ladyofthecastle -> RE: Private Meetings Vs Pro-Domme (3/24/2007 5:41:41 PM)

I have decided against online sessions, mainly because they are really not my thing. I have lived this lifestyle for over 5 years. I have also trained both other dominants as well as submissives.  I privately own 2 male slaves. One is my husband and the other is still in training.  I have worked in the sex industry for over a year.

I also have several lawyers that I work with to ensure I am well within the boundries of the law.  I will be re- evaluating my price list as I may come in to this with several other dom's and split the bills and the profits. I am still working on the details but I am putting a business plan together.

Thank you all for your wonderful opinions!

Lady Ann

still, i don't see a list of 'qualifications' that i would see as pro; not trying to sound sarcastic, but i'd really like to know; perhaps you will elaborate?

ladyofthecastle -> RE: Private Meetings Vs Pro-Domme (3/24/2007 6:23:53 PM)

OK here is my list of "QUALIFICATIONS"

Okay just so everyone is clear, this is not bragging just a list of everything I can think of doing in the last five years... It will read alot like my profile.
Sissification - private, public, and party training (and that was a h#ll of a party)
Pet training- Pony and Puppy (worked with a professional trainer in howell)
Maid service- house cleaning, uniform and nude
Bondage
Nipple clamps, wax
Anal training, stretching
Orgasm denial
Face sitting, Rimming
Body Worship
Daily servitude
Whipping
Public humilation (cross dressing, leash and collar, ect)
Okay added enough for now. Anything else just ask and I will let you know.

Also this is my daily life.

*have to add sluts comment- "every day life, and the just the over all enjoyment of this lifestyle. Those are your qualifications!"

Lady Ann

daddysliloneds -> RE: Private Meetings Vs Pro-Domme (3/24/2007 6:32:48 PM)

so besides your onhands experience with training horses, put to use in your pony play training, you basically do all the things typical tops do everyday, stuff that even i'm qualified to do, if i ever chose to top someone, and most of the things i allow people to do to me as a bottom/sub. damn, makes me think i should call myself a 'pro' and start charging money!
