i wasnt actually sure where (or how) to post this thread, but here goes nothing..... i can remember when i started to learn about the life about 3 years ago, i would receive messages from Doms & sometimes whether it be by email or in chat an abbreviation would pop up in the conversation that i would be unfamiliar with...for example: LTR, RT, DP.... to name a few. i havent really thought about this until recently as i just learned as i went along with the help of my ex-Master who was also new, but i was actually asked the other day what something meant & was also asked if there was a site that explains all abbreviations for people new to all this.

those sites aren't working for me...
here's a short list, anyway.

tpe: total power exchange
ltr: long term relationship
otk: over the knee
ldr: long distance relationship
dp: perhaps "dominant partner"? i'm not sure, exactly.
cd: cross-dresser
dm: dungeon master
cbt: cock and ball torture
ssc: safe sane consensual
rack: risk aware consensual kink
wiitwd: what it is that we do

Urban Dictionary has all of the abbreviations I've ever looked up.

DP = double penetration

Also at my job it means Desktop Publishing...which never ceases to make me snicker like a school girl. Sort of like "Cognitive Behavior Therapy". *snicker*
