Daddysredhead -> RE: subs who don't know their place (3/30/2008 3:17:26 PM)

I haven't bothered to read all the replies to this genuinely eyebrow-raising post. I just have one question for you, which my Master says is the best principle-based question that a submissive can ask... Why? Why should anyone take your points of view to be gospel? Why should submissives call whomever chooses to identify themselves as a Dom/me type by a title like Sir or Ma'am? Why should submissives not express themselves, thus providing full disclosure, in their profiles? Why should Dom/mes think that being given the priviledge of ownership means that checking one's brain at the door is expected? (yes, I said priviledge - Master/Mistress/slave dynamics can be some of the most intensely rewarding types of relationships there are... bestowing ownership is also a priviledge to the sub type) Why would someone want to be with a person who has no more respect than that for their mate - being a sponge who takes anything, or having to be totally responsible for a grown person who doesn't want to think for themselves? Why, I ask you? Why is your interpretation the correct way? Can you provide any thoughtful, intelligent response? If so, I would love to know what it is. ~ DRH
