Ok, this might be kind of silly but i was wondering if there are any little secret signals people in the bdsm world use to meet eachother in the vanilla world.

I've have a few tricks i've tried before. If i see a sexy lady waiting in line at the store who i suspect (hope!) might be dominant i might compliment her on her shoes or boots. It just seems like something only a submissive man would do. Its never yielded me any results but they never seem offended that i should mention it.

If i'm serving a customer and she remarks how fast my service is i might say something like "i was always taught to never keep a lady waiting" or something innocent sounding but that might clue her in to my true desires if she is in the lifestyle.

Anyway, i would love to hear any ideas or any real life stories where you have approached, or been approached in this way and it worked out. Thanks!

If you are serious about meeting a dominant lady then I would strongly suggest getting involved in your local kink community scene. At least there the odds of encountering a dominant female are much higher than stumbling across one in a random encounter in the mundane, vanilla world.

And the secret handshake can never be revealed on pain of death :-).

This is what flagging is partly for -- right or left for role and then you can get more complex.

There are also pieces of jewelry that incorporate the increasing number of symbols for SM as well as not subtle pieces such as handcuff necklaces. Be careful though because they can just be fashion too.

Not only do we have secret handshakes, but we also have a secret sign that we do also.
