Patina,

(soft smile) I can definitely understand the frustration of trying to be 'pleasing' for someone you care about.  Being a black female, ingrown hairs are taken to a whole new level - with the spiraling of the hair growing underneath the skin.  The ironic thing is, I have found that 'waxing' causes very few ingrown hairs - if any.  It was a b*%^h to get use to, but now I can't stand the idea of having it grow back any more.  If you are willing to try it again for that special someone, give 'waxing' a try.

As for men who considers a woman's oral comfort, and remove throat choking hair... bless you. However, not necessarily a requirement - unless you can make a fur coat and still not be able to see the skin underneath.   tsk tsk tsk

Have you done the wax treatment thing?  That's really good at hair removal.

Sweetie, unless you're on par with Leopold van Sach-Masoc that shit fucking hurts! I got just my bikini area done and I almost kicked the poor woman in the face.

Honestly its weird to see shaven balls. They look like marbles. Heh. Marbles.

For me it's nothing so bad, a bit painful but not a big deal.  Worth the effort.

BossySSBBW -> RE: a rant and question on shaving (3/27/2007 8:49:01 AM)

I have found that shaving every three days, but exfoliating on the non-shaving days with a spa glove keeps all ingrowns growing out properly.  When the skin is not kept open over the pores then hairs will give you hell.  Also shaving everyday works also.
I use the Intution shaver with it's own soap attached.  Love this razor.
Good luck.

ewwwwwwwwwww.... myobedience.....thats just plain gross, cant believe you would actually be bold enough to tell everyone that LOOOOOOOOL (thats just wrong, not something i would want out there for all to know)

moki1984 -> RE: a rant and question on shaving (3/27/2007 9:33:29 AM)

wow...i have been shaving down their since I was a teen and neve rhad any problems like that. That has to be uncomfortable

PONYSEEKER -> RE: a rant and question on shaving (3/27/2007 9:54:26 AM)

Gee I already do shave my balls .... I can feel her mouth better that way.  As far as the ingrown hair... yeah that sucks but I am sure your Dom can fix that right up for ya. It happens every now and then and its something that a lot of people deal with it just has to be taken care of quickly before it gets infected. Thats why many doms inspect the slave or submisives pussy, extream treatment calls for constant care and must be looked after constantly

In terms of ingrown hairs, I've only had that happen a couple times on my face.  I ended up taking an exacto blade and doing a little home surgery.  Turn out well, but then again, I'm crazy.  What can I say.

That's what i did, too! Except, i used the exacto blade only to dig in, and then used tweezers to pull the stupid hair out.

While i agree with you, patina, about not shaving your pubic area if you constantly  have problems (after trying the solutions, which there are many possibles), i do not agree with  your attitude. It is not for us, the slaves or submissives, to decide what is 'fair'. imho, if you are entering a relationship with a Dom/Master, you are turning over control to Him. While He should look out for your welfare, He would be in charge first and foremost. Unless you can't shave (because of difficulties that don't go away), if He says you shave, you should follow His command, and not demand a 'fair' compromise.

Just my thoughts,
jewel

redsky -> RE: a rant and question on shaving (3/27/2007 11:15:11 AM)

i guess theres something wrong with me, i love the way it hurts when i get waxed... LOL

Bearlee -> RE: a rant and question on shaving (3/27/2007 11:30:18 AM)

Naw...prolly nuthin' wrong, red.  I've never been waxed, but after shaving lower down...I often just pluck my mons.  I'm a redhead with fair skin and break-out every darn time I shave; not so if I just pluck!

I dunno....sometimes I just think I'm wierd.   (...but the 'smooth' lasts a long time!)

jewel, LOL I used tweezers as well.  I hated dealing with blood flow while trying to see what I was doing in the mirror.

LOL!!!! i can relate to blood flow just from shaving!!!

This has been a most enjoyable thread to read!!!!!!!

Hmmmmmm... an ingrown hair on the edge of your clit?  Nobody found that unusual?  I've never seen a hairy clit.  Are you sure you don't have a Bartholin Cyst or some other kind of...ummmmm...sore?

If I DID have a hairy clit...I think I'd keep shaving, though.

b
LOL I wondered that too.   I've never heard of a hairy clit either.   I'd be worried about shaving that sensitive area.   Can a person grow hair there even?   Perhaps you are right, it may be some other kind  of ummmmmm sore.

I have now decided to state to the next male that tells me to shave " I will shave when you shave your balls"  so there what do you Doms think of that?

Already done, my dear. Shaving my balls or even my whole body is nothing special. But then, I am a rather unique kind of Dom/me. Hehehehe.....

edamame -> RE: a rant and question on shaving (3/27/2007 2:51:37 PM)

I'm new to forum posting, so this is just a test, sorry TESTING 123!

zindyslave -> RE: a rant and question on shaving (3/27/2007 4:42:42 PM)

Well, I break out real bad from shaving down there no matter if I do it regularly or not and I always put lotion on it and it doesn't help. So my Master knows this and as long as I keep it trimmed it is fine with him. Maybe when you find someone interested in you you should tell them up front that you aren't going to do that. There has to be some doms out there that like hair!

The other option is that she became aroused, her clit swelled and unless she was squatting over a mirror and could see what she was doing, she nicked the clit with her razor, and got an infected cut.

Unlees you've got 20/20 vision and the flexibility to kiss your clit, your Dom's probably got advantages you don't have down there.

patina -> RE: a rant and question on shaving (3/27/2007 5:06:25 PM)

Yes LA, unfortunatly i do not have the self confidence you have.  I do give in to quick to a perspectives Doms wishes.  i know it does not look like it but i am doing better at denying most of the requests.  I am able to now tell 98% of the time when the Dom is a player.  I wish i had more confidence and ability to deny but i just don't.

I did the shaving because i was meeting a perspective Dom i decided to not stay with him because he wanted things i can not agree with.  He wanted TPE i am not capable of doing that, he had not said anything about TPE until we physically met.  Other things came out during our lunch visit which made me realize I did not want to stay with him.  The weekend ended early. It was not a total loss i learned more about the lifestyle, and being with a Dom.  We parted on a friendly note.

I was a little harsh in my post i had had a painful day and had received bad news about my military son.  He is being sent back to Afghanastian for another year damm Bush.  What i say here is not what i always actually say in person to a Dom.  As i once stated my bark is worse then my bite.  I will tell any perspective Dom if he wants me shaved i will  trim, i prefer to not shave for this reason and will explain the reason.

As you can see I did not give in to that Dom as he wanted me too, i held my grounds.  I slept alone that night, i did not do any playing.  Depending on my moods as to how i sometimes will write my post they can be flippant, grouchy, intelligent, harsh, smart mouth, funny, or dull.  I am not trying to so much excuse or explain myself but to clarify any missunderstandings.  You are one of the few women on here i respect LA.  So I just wanted to clear up the bad impressions you have of me.

*ouch* that's awful.
i have to say ive never shaved, i always either use (facial) hair remover, its not so harsh on sensitive areas, or i get waxed.
Apparently the best thing to use when shaving is hair conditioner as it softens the coarse hair & makes it easier to shave.

I'm a Domme, and certainly no one requires me to be completely smooth, it's just something I prefer.  I like the look and feel.  I also recommend the use of a facial depilatory.  I like the Magic Shave creme (not the powder).  There is even a mild formula for sensitive skin.  It's supposed to be made exclusively for black men, but I am a Caucasian female who is a loyal customer.  I just apply it, wait the required time, then hop in the shower and rinse it off.
