Status: offline 		Masochism/sadism what is it to you?  I personally find that both are a mental... effect (I can't find the right word sorry ya'll.). I'm not always sexually aroused by being sadistic or masochistic, but it never fails to relax my brain.

Status: offline 		For me it's both and more. As MasterFireMaam brought up, there is a spiritual release, and so much more. It's very complex for me and hard to try and put it into words.

edited to add: What about nonsexual physical release? I experience that a lot when I bottom.

For me it is mental, spiritual, emotional release; the thrill of surrendering my will; the wonderful flying experience; feeling intense joy..... just on the non-physical side! On the physical side it releases tension... improves circulation (well most of the time ) ... and creates that wonderful endorphin rush. It's also a welcome change from the physical "sensations" I have 24/7.

Status: offline 		It's a little of everything to me...less sexual than the other releases though.  Much of the time it's the same feeling I get while painting or writing.  There is arousal but it seems to be more of a intimate outlet for my creativity....I hope that makes sense.

I've heard the term, of course, spirituality, used many MANY times over the years concerning WIITWD, and to be honest, I'm not certain I really understand.

For me, I think it is both physical (sexual) as well as psychological (which to me also includes emotional).

The jury's still out on the third.
