I gave him everything,
and lost who I was;
He gave not of himself
and I was not found.

I wanted to be everything for him;
I was nothing.
I wanted to feel he was everything for me;
He gave nothing.

I gave him no more time;
and glimpsed myself again.

Beautiful thanks for sharing this with us. I know that feeling quite well but am glad it is behind me.
