Do you prefer a trainer, handler, Dominant or Master?

Is one in your opinion the same or is it through experience and skill?

It does not mean that you would need to accept the person as your particuliar trainer, handler, Dominant or Master but rather just an acceptance or admitance of such.

Self bestowed titles are not the issue here.

Personally wants more than just a Man. Plenty of those out there who don't have a clue about this life.

Wanted a Dominant Master. I don't view dominant as a noun but attribute of a person so can clear that one off the board.

As far as a Trainer or Handler goes..if were more inclined towards the pet kink and objectification then either of those would work .. but Master nor self require that.

Life experience and life style particulars require to me just that "experience". To what degree or in what area's is subjective.

Agree but will add,  I prefer a DOMINANT man, not domineering.
One who is patient, kind yet strict who seeks to teach me his way and is open to my way, but of course, he wins in the end with my graditude

I prefer a Master for myself, in my mind it's a different level of relationship, one that I need.

One persons Master is another persons slave.
You cannot be that specific.
 
Personally, I would take someone who has all the attributes described and a lot lot more - and who introduces himself as himself.
And I was so blessed.

bolded to make this point - i'm not a dog and/or some sort of animal and have no desire to be treated as such. yes i do think highly of myself as a submissive person.

though calling someone Master would be very uncomfortable for me, i would prefer a person who has similar tastes, interests and dislikes like mine. this is how Daddy and i met. we didn't meet and begin on a D/s dynamic instantly. that part to us grew as our relationship continued to grow.

i prefer the man i have now. he identifies as dominant. i personally am not interested in being just trained and then let go (i would prefer to have someone take ownership of me and keep me, thanks), so a person who identified only as a trainer would not catch my interest as much as someone who identified as a dominant or master. i don't really understand the title handler, so i'll skip that one.

I wanted a dominant man and after I fell in love  with Tacs I realized he had become my Master.

What on earth is a handler?

I want what I have, an incredibly competent dominant man who takes his time in gently molding me to his wishes, who understands the importance of paying attention to my reactions, and who uses positive reinforcement instead of negative.

Hmm, well I have a certain definition in my head for each of these terms.

Trainer - someone who teaches you, guides you, brings you into the lifestyle; not necessarily long-term, or loving, but a trusting exchange

Top - someone who will tie you up, beat you, play with the bondage or S/m aspects in a temporary, trusting, way; not requiring love or deep emotion

Handler - similar to Top and Trainer, someone who guides/teaches, plays, a sort of combination of Top and Trainer, not necessarily long term, not requiring love

Dominant - the half of a D/s relationship, the one holding the authority in the relationship (one with equal exchange of power), usually loving, more permament; S/m and bondage can be there, can teach/train/guide, but all as part of a long term relationship incorporating D/s into vanilla life

Master - the half of a M/s relationship, the owner of submissive or slave in a sexual, sometimes deeper, sense; usually has love and is long term; incorporated S/m, bondage, training/teaching as well; more TPE oriented, less vanilla aspects in relationship


Now, for me, personally...I prefer a Dominant/Master type of combination. In the beginning, I will address my Dom as Sir, and he will hold that role, as we work more into the Master area, an area which requires more trust, time together, knowledge of one another, etc.

I was 'trained' to slap my arms together while balancing a ball on my nose.  Curiously, no one has commanded me to do this since my training was complete

exactly. i'd rather be trained to what the person who owns or is going to own me wants, than trained to someone's idea of what a submissive or slave SHOULD be. that to me seems like an enormous waste of time.

i hope i'm not misrepresenting the point you are trying to make here.
