Hi All,

I was wondering what the interest level would be in play vacations. I have worked in the travel industry for 15 years and was thinking I could rent either a resort or maybe more fun a castle. Instead of going to a play party, we could make it a vacation for a week.

If the interest is there I will set up a website promoting it, lay all ground rules and prices.

Let me know if this would be of interest first of all and some of the things you would like to see happen as far as activities and such.

I have worked also as a travel agent specializing in round the world multi stop trips for 10 years... I am more than willing to work witnh you on any aspect of this you would like ....I have been a agent in this field for 10 years, one of my favorite places is schlosshotellembeck in germany, or the parador near angora in spain, another good place maybe the hotel el castillio which is run by a german/spanish couple and part of relias and chateau group.....anyway only a suggestion, please feel free to contact me sputnik332001@yahoo if there is anything I can do to help with this.....

Seriously, I'd never considered anything like that. What would this play vacation include? What kind of price range? Would it be like a fetish event, only cooler? What about for those of us who don't care to scene in public or play in groups... would there be private facilities? Its an interesting idea.

Except they already do have these things...most of them are called conventions. You've got Black Rose in DC in November, South East Leather Fest in Atlanta June, TESFest in NYC in May, Boston Fetish Flea twice a year, Folsom Flea in the Summer, Together in Leather in NC in October, Thunder in the Mountains in Denver in June, Shibaricon in Chicago in May, Dark Odyssey in MD in both September and February, Leather Retreat in June and TONS of others which I don't know about or don't recall because they aren't local enough or financially feasible for me to attend.

Each of these is at least 3 days long, with parties, vending, classes, more parties, demos, auctions, and special events like pony stables, kidnapping groups, and more.

If you want specific resorts only with no classes or special kink events, check out Hedonism, open all year.

I'm all about more vacations and open spots for kink...but there's already too much out there to fit into my schedule and wallet!

I was thinking less about conventions and more about an intimate adventure. I have found some interesting places that we could use. i.e. A castle and small village either in France or England that would accomodate around 50 participants, or a private sailboat in the Caribbean that would accomodate 40. It would be completely private, each would have a private room, cottage or stateroom.

My thought on the castle and cottage was like a mini Beautyisque setting. Have games and bbq's. An area of public punishment for all those bad slaves. Maybe have an auction where you can bid on the use of slaves for a day.

Every dom/domme could start with the same amount of currency (fake gold coins) and you could buy time with or sell time with others (with limits of course) At the end of the week there is a prize for the dom/domme that has made their stack of coins grow the most.

This would not be the typical go to a convention, nor play for the day. But a chance to immerse yourself in the lifestyle for a week. If there was enough interest to do a couple of trips a year, one of the prizes for making the most during the week could be a free trip for the next vacation.

Pricing could be setup for couples, single dom/domme and a price for submissives (submissives could share rooms together and get a price break)

Thanks for the response and we'll see if there is enough interest to pursue. But I think we could have more fun in a safe, private environment like this than at some convention.

i'm kind of taking an S+M vacation in July...heading to In The Woods up near Bellingham, WA...kind of camping, with bdsm vendors and workshops..never been there before, so i'm not sure how it is...but i'm looking forward to it.

Would be interesting if you could convince Carnival Cruises to have a BDSM cruise.

Although I feel sorry for people who bought the cruise off Priceline and didnt realize
their cruise would involve screams, whippings, spankings, and public oral sex.

I have been looking into a sailboat. Found one that is 250 ft long and would sleep around 60. Might be something fun. I have also found a very interesting prospect that has a castle, lodge and six cottages that would accomodate 80 with complete privacy including an indoor pool, garden with large hot tub, billiard room, it's own pond and more. What do you think of the logo I came up with?
