With all sincerity and due respect the only "legal" method is to purchase it from the content owner.

I know of several places to get them, such as a torrent search engine and stuff, but I do not know about how legal they are, nor do I know if I am allowed to place that information in here. If someone can advise on this I will be glad to post them.

bit torrent is your best bet. try a site called Empornium.
