How many more times are you going to ask this question?

geekyboy -> RE: Is it safe to drink piss? (3/29/2007 1:48:00 PM)

It's amongst the most sterile fluid in the world.

Though it has ammonia and stuff also in it.

I wouldn't, personally...ever.

But, it's safe in moderation.

Also, you cannot drink your own in anything but tiny amounts, bad health joo joo.

Providing the person whose urine you are drinking is healthy and has not consumed any chemicals/drugs in previous 48 hours then it is safe to drink. Some Indian cultures  drink a small glass of their own urine first thing in the morning. The Classical Greeks  and Romans  drank the urine of virgin females . I have  subs who  drink my urine with no ill effect . Some subs prefer to dilute  it with water others prefer to have it squirted directly into their mouth and over their face .....I drank a glass of  a subs urine with no ill effect and found it very salty which left an after taste for a few days .

Directly contrary to what geekyboy posted i have heard your own piss can not contaminate you, but could contaminate another.

Better look it up on a medical board for yourself than take the advice of others. After all, this is your health in question, right?

Greetings Masters and Mistresses
Greetings fellow slaves:

This topic has been discussed in another thread and from what i remember...

Piss can be unhealthy as it could contain blood in it, especially if the person has a bladder or kidney infection and is not aware of it, make sure to ask if they have been tested for it and if they balk at being asked then my advice is move on to someone who is not afraid to answer said question.

barring that complication piss can be safe to drink.

Blessed Be
cariad

edited to add: go back in the archives and find the thread i speak of as i am not sure exactly where in the threads it is... or do a google search on drinking it.

http://www.goaskalice.columbia.edu/2187.html = Urine is mostly water, and relatively sterile. But this does not mean it qualifies for the recommended 6 - 8 daily glasses of H2O, and here's why: in addition to the water content, urine contains trace elements of hundreds of other things — from undigested alcohol to nitrogen and potassium, and sodium, which makes it such a salty drink. (By the way, the first pee in the morning is more concentrated; and the more water you drink, the more diluted it will be.) Urine could — in rare cases — also have some toxic substances in it, such as lead or arsenic. It can also contain trace amounts of drugs that the urinating person has recently ingested, though probably not enough to actually give the sipper any high or show up on a drug test (in case you were wondering). "Water sports" or "golden showers" are sexual behaviors in which someone urinates on his or her partner's skin or body in the shower, in bed, at the beach, etc. This is generally harmless, as long as the pee doesn't get into any orifice or wound. If someone does end up urinating in your mouth (or you drink your own urine), s/he could conceivably transmit an infection. Passing on a urinary tract infection (UTI) or HIV could complicate matters. Hepatitis B, chlamydia, and even herpes could be present in the urine and could theoretically be transmitted to the drinker, causing infection. No documented cases of HIV being transmitted through urine have been identified, but again, it's a theoretical possibility. (HIV is present in urine, though in the smallest amounts of any bodily fluid.)

This was discussed in another thread just recently, in the Health and Safety forum where it properly belongs.

Basically, the risk of doing it in moderation with your own or that of an STD-free monogamous partner would probably be acceptable, while the risk of doing it with others will be somewhat higher, though HIV does not appear to be a concern in the absence of visible amounts of blood in the urine. Bear in mind that the topic hasn't been heavily studied, and few hard numbers are available. However, there are tons of people who are very opinionated on the subject, with a lot of FUD on one side, and a lot of "it never hurt anyone in any way" on the other side.

subsa -> RE: Is it safe to drink piss? (4/7/2007 11:02:58 AM)

yes, 99% of the time urine is sterile unless the person has some sort of infection.  ideally it is comprised of water and urea (an ammonia like substance that is a cellular waste product).  that doesn't mean it is harmless.  in the biomedical field it is considered a bio-hazard as are all bodily fluids.  but it is very far down the chain of dangerous bodily substances (close to saliva).  urine can contain blood  components (which is where one of the dangers lie), sediment, broken down chemicals etc... your kidneys act as a filter, and a great one at that, but any partical found in your blood that is small enough to fit through the glomerulus (part of your kidney) may be found in urine.   but it could also be found in saliva.  so if you french kiss you take about the same risk as drinking urine
