I hardly venture out to the clubs anymore, although, we've been thinking about trying the Wetspot...so maybe. The reason behind that is, it gets old. The pomp and circumstance are fun for a while as are the people doing their best to get noticed, but it get's old. Generally, we prefer to play privately or in private dungeons. At BDSM clubs it is difficult for me to shut out the outside interference, so we don't play. Privately, though, the scenes are much more intense. As for why go to a BDSM club? They're entertaining. You meet a lot of people. There is usually tons of equipment to try out and you get to see people using different techniques. In other words, it's a learning experience. As to what you can expect...it depends on the club. If you're local to a club, check out it's website. I have found that they generally offer or require a meeting about what you can expect to see and what would be considered inappropriate behavior. It all depends on the club.

spanklette, Thank you for your reply. I am not really looking for information about how to go to a club and what to expect. I really want to know why people go and what they look for in a club. I want to know what attracts them or what turns them away. There are a couple of clubs here in Denver. I volunteer at one and I occasionally go to the other to see what the crowd is like. One club is really big and never ever crowded, while the other is pretty small and always crowded. One club is high end, and the other looks more like it was put together on a tight budget. One is private, and the other has nights where anyone can come in and play. One draws in more couples, and the other draws in more singles. One has a lot of edge play, the other has more rope, flogging, and suspension. I went to both one night and the differences were very pronounced that night. I haven't been to any other clubs anywhere that I have lived and I am curious as to what places are like in other areas. Czarli

I planned a long wax scene with my partner which just went heavenly, and the energy just kept building and cresting as I did 3 other scenes that night and they were all amazing.
