ORIGINAL: pinksugarsub Attorney General Alberto Gonzales was briefed regularly over two years on the firings of federal prosecutors, his former top aide said Thursday, disputing Gonzales' claims he was aware of the dismissals from afar and newly undercutting his already shaky credibility. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070329/ap_on_go_ca_st_pe/fired_prosecutors What a bunch of fools. pinksugarsub Again, I really dont think there is anything here. The president has the ability to decide who works under him. After looking into most of the fired prosecutors...some of the firings raise an eyebrow in a way that it looks political. However, the prosecutors also did things that would warrent being fired. The person that prosecuted Duke Cunnningham (corrupt GOP Congressman) in California was fired. Her name was Carol Lamm. Democrats say she was fired because she prosecuted a corrupt Republican. However, shortly after that corruption case, Lamm refused to prosecute an illegal alien for human trafficking. This trafficker had been arrested 21 times by the US Border Patrol! And she refused to prosecute. And according to the papers, this is why Lamm was fired.
