This year is fun.. So far, I almost lose a close friend in a Alabama tornado that missed her by less than a mile, and now my brother just had one 3 hours ago in Oklahoma miss him by about the same distance. Why do I get the feeling we are in for a umm fun filled Summer in the south dodging both tornadoes and hurricaines?

i want to see a tornado. i've been through a typhoon, an earthquake, and a hurricane. I think the earthquake was the most interesting. Nothing like seeing real live cars bounce with nobody in them. The typhoon was abit lame - i just ended up freezing cold and unable to get home. The hurricane i wasnt allow OUT IN (evil ppl) so i didnt really get to experience it....Not like it was a super duper one.. but i would like to see another. Could be interesting..... never seen a tornado....... wonder what they're like?

Trust me, better to pass on tornaoes. Been through one in college. It grazed my apartment as it was lifting off. Dead of night, no sirens, no nothing. Next thing we knew Boom 6 windows blow out on one side of the building. Next morning some people found a 2 foot diameter pine tree int he middle of the road that had literally dropped from the sky a few blocks from my place. That is about as close as i want to get to one.

whew, you can have the tornados (-does?). been in earthquakes (CA) and a tropical storm (NY) and a wealth of severe thunderstorms. the closest to a tornado was hearing the local news channel stating "we see some rotation on the radar over [city here]." after 3 hours of tornado warnings (just south), severe thunderstorm and flood warnings, i thought "if y'all can't get more excited than "rotation", i'm going to sleep!" weathernerd aka thornhappy

I was watching FOX News and they had interviewed a Republican who said that the tsunamis were a sign of God's wrath against the Muslims....Apparently God is not to keen with all of the Muslims living in Oklahoma as well.
