ICANN rejected porn internet domain's proposal. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/technology/6509885.stm

Are you in favor or against ICANN's decision? As for me, I would consider establishing such domain a good idea. But I do understand ICANN's motives.

ICANN lied. .xxx is different from .tv how? They didn't want to officially recognize that porn is the driving force behind innovation on the internet.

I have no problem with a separarte domain name.
But I do understand ICANN not wanting the responsibility
of controlling content.

But then why did ICANN allow the .tv domain? They're willing to take on the responsibility of controlling content when its tv shows but not when its porn?

Yes, liability and court action by anti-porn groups would factor
into their financial interests.

The .tv top level domain has nothing to do with television, it's the ISO 3166-1 two letter country code for the island nation of Tuvalu.  ICANN has absolutely nothing to do with it.
