As usual this is from another post. Has medications such as for high blood pressure or diabetes changed your sex drive? What have you done to help renew it?

LuckyAlbatross -> RE: Medications (3/30/2007 10:40:22 AM)

It has certainly affected those of my past partners- good diet, exercise, and employing sexual enjoyment other than what's required for an erect penis were all helpful.

Not Mine personally, of course, but yes, high blood pressure medications have been known to effect the sex drive/cause ED.  Levitra can work wonders.  If you have medical insurance, it's certainly worth inquiring about.

I am a 56 yo male. I take 3 diabetes meds, one cholestrol med & one high blood pressure med (no HBP, Dr says it keeps organs clean). You'd think that a chubby would be a virtual impossibility, but think again. I do occasionally have some trouble with keeping hard & once in a blue moon (or is that blue ba....nevermind) I won't have any luck at all. Any of the ED meds work wonders, but you have to be careful if you are taking certain High Blood Pressure meds (Lipitor etc). They could possibly react and cause a swift lowering of blood pressure. Before you take any meds, check with your local quack. Non prescription supplements are effectiveas well. L-Arginine, Yohimbe & other similar over the counter stuff works also. I'm no expert on any of this, but I have tried a lot of the different things. Feel free to e-mail me if you have questions. Just please letme know in the subject why you are e-mailing me as I dump as spam any e-mail that is not familiar & unexplained. Well thats my 2cents, hope it was helpful.....Pat
