littleonyx -> RE: Three Things... (4/3/2007 4:58:17 AM)

Okay, so I've been reading responses and I have noticed, as someone pointed out earlier (whom I'd give the credit to but am too much of an energy conservationist to go back and look) that the majority of these strange things are related to food.  Are there things that aren't related to food that you find absolutely strange about yourself, or that other people do?  I guess I'll jump in and list a couple of mine:

1) I avoid confrontation as much as possible, but will find myself becoming jealous, leading to me wanting to sit on somebody's chest and beat the crap out of them (or kick, or stomp, or cut, or burn, or...)  Hhhmmm...think I got some aggression somewhere.  (See kajirateers thread! *laughs*)

2) The two (smallest) end toes on both of my feet are the same size.  Oddly enough, my aunt and I are the only ones that we know of in our entire family that have it that way.

3) As number 2 was mentioned, it relates to this one--I will not buy shoes that show my entire foot for any reason.  No thong sandals or anything of the like.  If the last two or three toes can't be covered, I won't buy them.

4) I refuse to use words like "short," "lazy," or "diet."  Instead I use words like "vertically challenged," "energy conservationist," or "selective eating."

5) I think my butt is too small, and my breasts are too big, but I love my legs.

slaveluci -> RE: Three Things... (4/3/2007 7:52:42 AM)

1.  Escalators scare me.  i will walk the length of the mall to get to stairs or an elevator rather than ride one.

2.  Before leaving my home or office, i feel this almost compulsive need to walk through it all, checking to make sure everything is in order.  Ditto for how i leave my desk.

3.  Again almost a compulsion:  i keep lists (in alphabetical order) of all my videos, DVD's, and books.  Also, the nearly 3,000 songs in my computer are all listed alphabetically by artist.  Guess it has something to do with the librarian in me....at least i don't have my personal books labeled with Dewey decimals....yet[;)]......slave luci

dear littleonyx
your posting made me chuckle for you see i too am vert, challenge both of my children are taller then me, and my grandkids are not too far behind,
second like you i dont wear open toe shoes, not for the same reason my toes are crooked, and i have a claw toe for a baby toe. my grandpa once told me it come from my indian side, althought i think he just said that so i would feel better
and to dear slave luci it is nice to know i am not the only strange person who does not like moving stairs, i am always afraid of my skirt of something getting caught at the end, and i have a need to hold on for dear life,
as for you your keeping music in perfect order on the computer, and almost doing the same with the books if you are not married and in your thirties i have a son for you
take care and be safe java

littleonyx -> RE: Three Things... (4/4/2007 3:54:08 PM)

I must just be a really strange person, because I keep thinking of things.  *lol*

I thought of something else:  I absolutely love the taste of coconut flavor.  In drinks, in foods (coconut milk in the recipe), whatever.  I love the smell of coconut and will buy all the products I can related to it.  But I hate the taste of coconut.

Ooooh, and another thing:  I hate cleaning my own house, but when I'm at work I can be a horrible neat freak.

Okay, just one more: I absolutely detest doing the dishes more than any other household chore, but I'll wash dishes at somebody else's house--get this--happily.  (Now look, y'all...don't be inviting me over for dinner so I'll clean up, okay?)

Long toe nails gross me out also, especially on men. And men with long fingernails just is purely nasty.

When I fly I want the window seat right over or just behind the wing so I can get the full effect upon landing.

I am really weird about scents.......too long of an explanation.

I could write dozens but you only asked for three.......[:D]

littleonyx -> RE: Three Things... (4/4/2007 4:15:17 PM)

Very well--I retract!  I retract!  *laughs*  I've probably listed about eight or so by now.  So please...by all means...continue!  [:)]

acissej -> RE: Three Things... (4/4/2007 5:08:24 PM)

Okay, three more.  This time, none food-related.

1.  I hate the words "panties," "tasty" and "Jesse."  The "ee" sound, particularly in those words, is like nails on a chalkboard to me.
2.  I refuse to use kitchen sponges.  My germophobia prevents me from using them.
3.  I can't snap my fingers.

i know you wanted to stop at food, but i have to say i thought i was the only one that ate the middle out of the oreos and left the cookies. Double stuff is the best!

Then one day my son asked me, "Mom could you buy the kind of oreos that have the white stuff in the middle next time?"   lol  (and he is 15)

The other thing wierd about me is that my big toe doesn't stop moving while i am resting on the couch or just sitting.  Sometimes it drives my daughter so crazy she has to sit on my foot!

i sleep with a blankie too sometimes.. it helps me fall asleep.[sm=goodnight.gif]

Greetings, Caleigh...

I didn't mean to make it seem like I wanted all food related posts to stop.  Nope, not at all--simply because for me, those are some of the strangest things about me.  If your food habits make you nuts, go ahead and list them!  *wink*

Greetings,
1) The refrigerator has to be in perfect alignment to the floor tiles.

2) The towels have to be folded and precisely spaced on the rack.

3) I must brush my teeth immediately following my shower.

LOL now the cookie story..that is too cute

I drive with my left foot all the time...for some reason it's easier, though dangerous [&:]
I never use the air conditioning in my car, even in the summer time, and I never have the windows down or the top down ...I have some kind of phobia about falling out of the window durning an accident lol

wandersalone -> RE: Three Things... (4/5/2007 6:34:06 AM)

hmmm only 3 weird things... I can see that I will be sending multiple posts to this thread!!

1. I have 2 favourite pens which I carry around everywhere in a special pen holder
2. At work I consciously decide which pen I 'feel' like using for the whole day
3.  I say 'sorry god' every time I go through an amber light even though I don't believe in god and I am not doing anything illegal

SDFemDom4cuck -> RE: Three Things... (4/5/2007 1:48:07 PM)

only three things?

I am irrationally afraid of clowns. Either humans dressed as them or doll type clowns. There was a Bozo incident in my childhood I found out recently. (Yes, I'm 41 and just found out last week LOL)

Strangely the only meal this occurs at is dinner.  I eat the items on my plate one at a time, completing each thing and moving on to the next item on the plate while turning the plate as I go so that the food I'm eating is dirrectly at the 6 o'clock position. I don't like the foods on my plate to touch one another if it is at all possible. However, if mashed potatoes are involved I have to combine them with something, anything, or I can't eat them. When they are present any other vegetable gets mixed in with the mashies and eaten together.

If anyone touches the food on my plate (eg: steals a french fry or touches my plate with their fork) I'm done eating. I can't eat anything after someone else has touched it/tasted it.

I cannot stand to listen to a phone ring repeatedly. At a store the other day the phone next to the cashier began to ring, and ring and ring. She continued to handle my transaction as it continued to ring incessantly. Auuuugggghhh. After the 5th ring I couldn't stand it anymore. I reached over, picked it up said "Thank you for calling ____________ could you hold please?" placed them on hold and hung the phone up. Amazingly three people in line behind me all murmured things to the effect of ..."thank gawd, that was driving me nuts" but the cashier just looked at me as if I had grown a second head.

fairerthanshe -> RE: Three Things... (4/5/2007 2:17:54 PM)

Greetings FemDom,

i have the phone ringing thing too, and have been known to answer calls at businesses myself - whats worse, depending on the store, tried to help the customer on the phone! lol

Thank you, I thought about it right after I hit ok to post and wondered if I was a bit too freaked out about listening to a phone ringing. Good to know I'm not the only one!

littleonyx -> RE: Three Things... (4/5/2007 4:16:38 PM)

Nope, Ms Jo...it bothers me too.

Um...let's see what else I can find out that's strange about me.

1) I have to have an even number of children for the sole purpose of matching the family up with kitchenette/dining room sets.

2) To save face, I will go out of my way to act as though nothing ever happened.  Example: If I trip over my shoes (especially slides or mules), I'll stop whatever I'm doing and pull one off and look at the bottom, then at the ground, making it appear that I tripped on something on the ground, or that there was something stuck in my shoe.

3) I love taste, look, and smell of strawberry milk, and chocolate milk, as they both are essentially "sweet milk."  But I could easily vomit at the smell of cereal that has gone soggy in a bowl of milk; which, oddly enough, turns it into "sweet milk" as well, as it dissolves the sugars in the cereal.

SDFemDom4cuck -> RE: Three Things... (4/5/2007 4:52:31 PM)

Good to know I'm not the only one it bothers lol.

I can't stand soggy cereal either. So I eat my cereal dry and just drink juice separately.

I can't bear the thought of eating eggs or drinking milk but I can eat things that they are both ingredients in the recipe.

My room has to be pitch black in order to sleep. Once I wake up and it's light out I can't go back to sleep. Completely sucks if I end up working 3rd shift!

rotflmao!!  Now that is a riot!  If i was standing next to you and you did that i could NOT keep a straight face!   What a cute idea :)
