Retiring the Nic - 3/30/2007 7:16:22 PM

I just wanted to let folks know that I've decided to retire this screen name from the CM forums.  Before all the Democrat activists get excited, I'm not actually going anywhere, but you won't see this name much anymore.

When I first got into all this internet stuff, I came up with a couple of ID's.  One for e-mail with family and friends and this one for pursuing my more non-conventional interests.  I'm WyrdRich (or a slight variation of that) in a number of places and on on several e-mail accounts.  It's never been an issue.  It isn't one now, but I've come to a place where it could be.

When I first joined here, I started a conversation with a Domme in my area.  No chemistry, but she did link me to a local realtime group.  I joined that as well with the same name, met some amazing people, including a smart, funny, wise and deeply kinky woman who I fell in love with and married.  It's not a 'play' focused group, much more social and educational, but it's a great place for people to find where they fit.

I wasn't here at all for a while, then started hanging around the forums.  I give my smart-ass nature, crazy opinions and sadistic streak a pretty free rein in here and enjoy doing that (in person I make much more effort to seem like a nice guy).  The only person I worry about annoying is our beloved Mod 11(may Her subs never cum without permission) and she has been mighty patient with me.  I don't much care what anybody else thinks.  Until now at least.

Recently, I was given the opportunity to start paying back a little, and I was happy to take it.  I'm the new membership person for my group now.  It's not much, review the application form, answer a few questions maybe, but the ID I use there is the same.  People find us in a lot of ways, but this is one of the paths.  I don't like the idea that some uneasy new person would finally work up the courage (and it takes a little) to move from talking here to a real life involvement and then not do it because the personal invite to a munch came from that Conservative ASSHOLE WyrdRich.

It isn't much risk, but the price of avoiding it is a couple paddles next to my name.  Cheap.

So, my friends, well-wishers, sparring partners, and enemies until death, I bid you farewell as the Wyrd guy, and greet you again as TheHeretic.

Now I need to go get something going in Random Stupidity.  I'll deal with the kink-yangs until I get into handcuff land, but that damn 'nilla cone has got to go.

Rich,

I understand and it is only because of people like you that the scene is as good as it is, without people like you it would really suck!

Congats too on finding your "one".!!!!

Thanks, Michael, and if you're going to IMsL next weekend, message me on the other side, I have a cheering request.

I suppose we could make it happen, Love, but I doubt the landlord would understand the shift of priorities.

It is a bit different isn't it?  Hopeful, maybe.  Not sure which gallery I found it in.

Sure thing.  The new profile is a work in progress and I'm still searching for just the right sig line.

Good to see you and glad to hear you are doing well.

Whew, no more 'nilla cone at least.

Rich:
You were never nilla.  You were born deranged and have progressed from that point.  I am glad you haven't left as I enjoy your input no matter how ill informed and dogmatic  it may be.

Thanks.  You were actually in my mind when I made the decision to change over.  Willow Springs is right up the street (by local standards anyway) and there are several groups around here where you might find what you are looking for.

Would a reply from a known discourteous sumbitch make you less likely to show up?
