They were Mercenaries, now there are Terrorists. I don't know how much Americans and Europeans know about this. But that a very known FACT here in the Middle East.

I'm not an alarmist at all, but I read enough to wonder an obvious question:

(People that don't know me are going to see this as "he's at least off the fucking bench").

1951, the leader of Iran was Bugi'd out by the CIA, the Shah of Shahs ("King of Kings") was installed by our government. This is not news. It's part of every college curriculim, and I hope part of every high school curriculim.

The 70's caused the Muslim world (starting with Saudi Arabia) to find everything we did anathema to their world. They believed enough in our lack of salvation that in the end, they wanted to let us know we had faults, to the tune of a 317% increase in oil over 2 years.

In the 80's, Reagan decided that corruption was a preferred method to integrity. He started out well, but corruption always finds a home.

And now we have Mr. Bush.

He gets curiouser and curiouser each day.

What the fuck were we thinking?

ya but this isnt a partison thing! we can look at clinton and carter and keep going back! what its the news is only part of whats going down and they are basically all corporate puppets. ones left handed and the other is right handed so we tend not to realize that/ sheck it out. they are all in this crapola. LOL It reminds me of the people who "ford" is the only vehicle and the live and die ford or chevy whatever, and the bottome line is that they are all cars and they all have issues and sometimes chev has the same issues as ford and so forth so this party line crap is really a joke as they are all puppets.

UR, you're bang on with the control issue.

The Al-quaeda argument goes 'round in circles because it can't be proven that they're largely the creation of vested interests. People will always get lost in the details and end up back at square one - which, I suppose, is the point for the vested interests.

I reckon the best way to discuss Al-quaeda is from this angle: let's agree Al Quaeda exist, what exactly have they done to warrant the supposed threat we're being presented with?

From a British perspective, the 4 London bombers were born and bred Englishman, they made crude explosives based on information available on the internet, they did not need any outside assistance.

If they're such a huge threat demanding such draconian measures as ID cards, DNA databases, anti-terrorism laws, detention without trial etc, then we would have seen some sort of realisation of this threat.

C'mon folks, we can do a little better thinking than that.

Al Qaeda and similar groups exist for one reason, Israel.

They had no use for Saddam Hussein, he was not one of them.

Just like any group they like more members, but really it is supposed to promote the Islamic way of life. I guess they deemed our bombs not quite beneficial to their way of life.

People bitch they don't give Women rights, well, let them worry about that. If they can actually stop teem pregnancy with a chaperone or a chastity belt, shut the fuck up and let them do it. For crissakes they already got multiple Wives, what happens whe all the teenage daughters get pregnant ?

Fucking let them be, cover the Women up.Lock up the harem. Do as thou wilt 10,000 miles away from me.

BTW, readers of AFP, they reprinted George Washington's farewell address. Seems longer than I remember, but it's not. It just seems longer.

All we need is this country, to ourselves, to work and cooperate for our mutual survival, what the fuck else do we really need ? Kodak, BP, Walmart ? Do you really need the fucking garbage you buy there ?
