This silly post has sprung out of Wyrd's new nick  (and good luck with all of it, Rich)...

If you chose your collarme nick for some reason... have you changed past what it what meant?  If you have, have you changed your nick?

I no longer think I embody the sense of this word anymore and should probably change to something like 'crotchetysexlessspinster' but can't be bothered....

Anyone?

Not  I :)  This is why I chose my name:

The lotus flower is one of the most ancient and deepest symbols of our planet.
The lotus flower grows in muddy water and rises above the surface to bloom with remarkable beauty. At night the flower closes and sinks underwater, at dawn it rises and opens again. Untouched by the impurity, lotus symbolizes the purity of heart and mind. The lotus flower represents long life, health, honor and good luck.

I changed my nice ... I used to have the account Saint Pain ... and that was a name I used for a long long time while I dommed (for about 8 years).  My Daddy didn't want me usimg the same name since I haven't dommed for a year ... so we went through kijira slave names on some internet sites (although we're not into gor) and we got some inspiration ... so I changed my name to nyla and the baby part is because I love mild age play with him as well as I am learning things all over again, like a baby, from the point of view of a submissive, and not a domme.

being saddled with one of those ethnic "family" first names, whose mispronunciations are legion, I would never choose it as nic.  lighthearted suits me very well, I think anyone who knows me personally would agree.

We were called "Sweet Dommes" by a friend of ours ... ages ago, and I liked it.  I can't even remember what I was using in the chat rooms at the time, but it was before we signed up here, so no name changes here.  For a long time, I went by "TwoSweetDommes" or "TSD" in chat rooms and as I signed up in new places, I made the new accounts under this name.  So far, most people who have taken the time to get to know us find that it still suits us.

Ohhh I have one of those as well!  It gets butchered to death.  When I make reservations, I use the name Anne or something easy lol.

I am only Smythe here but it has some significance to me. I love naming myself...how often do we get the chance?
Plus I do crack up at my email. There is something about a sub writing "Dear Smythe" that hits my funnybone.
