For me it would be the fear of the unknown.  My imagination will take over and create scenarios that end up being far worse than what actually occurs.

i think for me personally it would be fear of the 'known' - waiting & wondering when..... oh no, id rather it just happen.

Some things to know and dwell on it makes the anxiety greater as I build up how hard or scary it's going to be in my mind. Sometimes right after it's all over I think "Hmmm that's all that was and I was worried I could handle it?". It definitely adds to my passionate reactions while going trough it.
Then there's other times where something happens I have no clue is happening. As my mind and logic sprint to comprehend what's going on I then too have the feeling of exhilarated anxiety.
For me both can be exciting or brutal depending on the circumstances and what's laid out before me.
I guess I like it some both ways.

I would have to say knowing whats coming. If I see the crop or whatever and know at some point it may be used on me the anticipation builds up the excitement and the feeling is compounded.

Unknown. When it comes to intimate things, I am more apt to be distrustful when I don't have ANY idea of what's going to happen. I need at least a basis...I don't necessarily need details.

The unknown, I always watch when they give me shots or take blood it hurts less that way.  I wish i could of stayed awake when i had my laproscropy sp? done but they put me to sleep.

The dentist laughs at me cause i always want to see his instruments and see what he is doing.  He says everyone else is scared i laugh.

I'm the same way with blood draws and procedures, patina.  My dentist is actually a friend of mine and has even let me watch what she's doing in a hand-mirror a couple times.  Pretty fascinating stuff!

Fear of the known (i.e. being told what is about to happen to you and having to wait in anticipation)?

Or fear of the unknown (i.e. having absolutely no idea what's coming next)?

I'm still not sure which is worse. I have been trying to figuare it out.

Greetings

perhaps I am misunderstanding, but how do you equate anticipation with fear? Just out of curiosity.

I wish you well
