"Study finds more air delays, lost bags"

"WASHINGTON - More airline passengers bumped, more bags lost and fewer on-time flights. For the third year in a row, those problems grew worse for the industry, according to annual study that rates airline quality.

"They just don't get it yet," said Dean Headley, an associate professor at Wichita State University and co-author of the study being released Monday.

One upside, researchers said, was that the number of complaints about airlines has stabilized since hitting a five-year low in 2005."

Yep, just the other day we picked up a friend from the airport.  He got on the plane with 3
bags and got off with 2.  Took them 2 days to put the last bag on a plane to get it here.
Amazing.

I flew to St Louis to meet my finance (now husband) and his family.  I was not allowed on my flight because they gave my seat to an unaccompanied minor who showed up right before boarding (she bought a ticket which made them overbooked) and then when I finally got to St Louis there was no luggage (although they assured me it went on the earlier flight and would be there waiting.  Of course my hubby's cell phone died and I had no way to contact him and tell him and I didn't know his parent's number at the time.  This is the first and last time I flew Southwest.
