If you lay a foundation at the beginning, this shouldn't be an issue.
While some might disagree, there is a time and a place for everything.
I run a business and the thoughts of running it based around what a dom thinks is a bad idea. Unless of course, they have the necessary background to run a organization. One does not see that too often nor do they have the specific experience needed to operate it.
The submissive nature I have is strictly for my home life.
If that is topping from the bottom, I quess I am guilty as charged.
I think as long as you put it out there in the beginning, there shouldn't be a problem.

I don't think the way you run your business has anything at all to do with topping from the bottom. I don't get the connection?

Topping from the bottom is when a submissive attempts to manipulate the dominant into satisfying his/her desires/fetishes, generally in the context of a play scenario. At least, that's how I've heard it defined over the years.

What you do in your daily life and what choices you make are relevant to the relationship as a whole.

I totally agree.
My post was kinda based on some received emails that the dom wanted to control everything. In play and a relationship is cool. For me, it can't be everywhere.
Several thought this was topping from the bottom if you don't surrender everything.
Am I crazy for having this expectation?

Simple--I do not start relationships with people I can manipulate so easily.

That's very true... and why it's so hard to find good tops on the internet : ).

You have no idea how many times I've met someone once and known that it wouldn't work out- because I was the one doing the domming!

The only way to avoid topping from the bottom is to find a top who won't let you do it. If your top lets you get away with it, so that you find yourself forced to prevent it on your own from happening, that in itself is topping from the bottom.
