I get a lot of my news from various local rags, Rolling Stone, National Weekly, US News and World Distort, LA and NY Times, a bunch of internet searches. Most of this stuff I read at work. But I am generally more interested in a less reactionary approach to learning news from news media. So I read lots and lots of books. Then I go out and research (using google, et al) a lot of the things I read to learn different aspects / viewpoints about it than I get from the place I am reading that news. For books I am a bibliography hound, and after I discovered I can buy great books used for $2.00 at Amazon, I have a lot of books on order. I dont really care about the quality since the working (well, sitting around reading while expressing my morpheme) on the docks tends to destroy things. Hope that helps. Sinergy
