I personally love to read all i can about a Domme, if She has a journal, SO much the better. Makes me feel a bit more comfortable in contacting them, because i got to know a little more about Them then just what the profile has to offer. W/we all talk about how Dommes mailboxes are full of replies whether they want the mail or not, and so as such i automatically assumed that Dommes would not, or maybe i should say would seldom read sub's journals.
So was just wondering, do Dommes read sub's journals? I know there will be at least a few who do, but i am wondering, is it maybe alot more then i thought who read them?

I do when they catch my eye.  If a profile interests me, then I will typically see if anything in their journal grabs my attention also.

Same here.
I am not out specifically browsing for the most part, but I do check things out occasionally, such as board posters who are presenting themselves well, or ones who might suddenly show up on My Admirer's List.  I will always check for additional insight, and if a journal is there, I will, at the very least, scan it quickly
After all, the more insight the better, yes?

If  after reading someone's profile, I'm intrigued, I may continue on to read their profile, regardless of their orientation.

If I was looking for a sub, then yes, I'd want to read everything he has to say for himself.

If something about the profile has caught my eye I will read the journal entries.  There are a couple of subs that I read theirs frequently.  Nothing will ever happen between us (distance, different needs, etc) but their writing is so fresh, honest and insightful that I still enjoy reading it just to see a peek into someone else's life.

Dear SLAVEBOY32, Ladies and Gentlemen;

I can only speak for myself however, I do read submissive/slave journals.

Since I am not a mind reader, it helps how slaves mentally sift through the situation, mental and emotional processes.  It also helps to find out if the slave is focused on sex or is there of focus on others and their feelings.  In addition, I like knowing lessons learned.  No matter if a negative or positive ending--the lessons of the experience can be so 'telling.'

Just some thoughts.

Respectfully submitted for consideration,
Lady Hugs

I'm an indiscriminate reader (though a discriminating Domme lol) and though I'm not looking, I still like to keep track of possibilities in my area, and read journal entries as well as profiles.

I do like to read journals...especially the ones that are interesting and if the spellings and grammar are mostly correct.  I can't stand reading gibberish...

I have recently started My boy writing a journal of our online experiences.  You can view it by looking up the username grillo.

With kind regard,

Yes, I do read a slave's journal, whether it's one I've assigned for him to keep, or one that he blogs with independently online.  Many times, there will be something written there that will either move me to contact him, or will say....wow, he's not for me.  I reckon that it allows me a deeper view into his thought processes, moreso than the simple profile does.

When ever I get an email from a sub I open the email and read the profile first, journal included. If I like the profile I'll read the email and respond to both profile and letter... unless it's a one liner and I can't help but know what it says one second after it's open... lol... then hopefully the profile is filled out better.

Yes, I read sub's journals all the time.  If it is someone I am considering, I like to know as much as possible about him, and his journal entries give me some additional insight.  Even if the sub is not someone I am interested in, I often will still read his journal.  There is a local sub whose journal entries are very well-written, interesting, and informative.  We aren't a match, but I do enjoy reading his journal.

you can read part of it from the search page. when you view full profile it is after everything else. If there are "next page" I usually will go ahead and zip past each one until I find first page and previous page my way back through it, to learn more what went into the person that has been growing. and I don't read only subs.

If I'm interested in a guy I will read whatever he has written which gives more insight into his head.

Since I ask for my entire profile to be read I in turn read the entire profile of those who reply to me.

If the point of contacting one another is to better get to know one another why would we ignore the information that is freely offered?

I get regular comments from Dommes and subs from my journal.

I know I enjoy reading journals.  It would be nice if there were a search feature listing recently updated journals.

I will check a profile quickly to see if the person is interesting to me.
If they are, then I skim through the journal to get a better idea of
their personality.
